Demon Marcus, Sunday

"Ugh," Sparkle said as he opened Demon Marcus today. He'd had plans today. Big plans. April Fools/Easter plans. And they were going to be so good.

Except for the pollen. Of course there was pollen. There had been snow all week and now this was a thing? So Sparkle could name off a good fifty things he'd rather be doing than spreading stupidity around the island while wearing a bunny costume.

... Sure, he could think of a few things he'd be cool with doing in a bunny costume anyway, but that wasn't going to happen today. And when he got into work, all of his stock had been turned into rabbit onesies.

All of it. Shirts, shoes, bottles of nail polish. The shop was heaped high in the damn things.

There was a sign in the window:

I don't know what it'll be tomorrow when this wears off,
But just take a onesie today. Just fucking have it.

Sparkle's mood: Ugh.

[OOC: Open, though day-with-family SP is going to be in effect today. Any onesie your character takes today will turn into something that looks absolutely fabulous on your character tomorrow, because the island isn't always cruel.]

Groovy Tunes, Sunday Morning

Jono didn't breathe, and so it wasn't as though the pollen really had much of an effect on him, no. He was, however, a telepath, and it had taken him all of two minutes of his morning jog to realize what was up. Again, not that it had much of an effect on him. He'd gotten a bit better over the years of splitting the difference between 'closed off completely' and 'wide bloody open' telepathically, and so while he was aware of the, uh, current mood of the island, he was blissfully unaffected by it.

He was probably going to have to brace himself when he got home from work tonight, though.

In any case, he was settling down in the Groovy Tunes for a little while, mostly to make certain paperwork was filled out properly, but also to play a little with the music. It was Easter, and so technically he was closed today, but that didn't mean his door wasn't open and he wasn't going to take a few hours to just kind of enjoy the music before he went back home to an extra bitey husband this afternoon.

The stereo answered instead, turning itself on and starting to play a little Garbage.

Jono threw a guitar pick at it.

"Sure," the cook had told Kanan. "We're open today."

Well. Kanan was here, in spite of the, ah, pollen. And there was no kitchen staff. None. There was a note on the counter saying 'Easter Fools!' which meant basically nothing to him, besides that he was going to have to kick somebody's ass next Sunday.

Hell, he kind of felt like kicking somebody's ass today. He should have closed up shop and headed back home, but he was riled up and biting back several conflicting moods at once now, and he didn't want to subject Hera to that.

So.

I know how to make flatcakes. I have enough time to make flatcakes while also doing dishes and waiting and clearing tables.
