Well, today was certainly....interesting. All that ridiculous pollen seemed to have cleared up from the air, sure, but it seemed to also reveal something else: a tall teenager in an incredibly well made suit of armor showing up claiming to be Amaya's daughter. A daughter that absolutely gushed about how Amaya had clearly taken her advice and gotten that anti-aging potion that "Daddy is going to love!" and how she could "see what all the fuss was about now," said with a wink, a wink that Amaya could almost see even though the girl had, until that point, not removed her helm. And once she did take off the helmet, she revealed a winning smile and long blonde hair that definitely did not support her claim that Amaya was her mother, until she realized the glint from her smile was not from her shining white teeth, but rather a set of braces, and those blue, blue eyes were definitely a mirror of Amaya's own.

Right. So the island was doing one of its weird things where she wished she could just blame it all on a wizard, like that weekend she'd spent as a child. Only this time it was a separate child, with some mysterious man that she was a little curious about but her desire to not know was much stronger, some man that she was...ugh!...apparently in a relationship with. It was all very confusing, and Amaya would rather not think about it, so it was a good thing she had the store to go to, and she asked the daughter if she could help.

"Zephyr can do it!" she announced brightly.

Right. Sure, she could. And apparently, Zephyr could also babysit, because when they got to Turtle & Canary, it appeared Apu was having a bit of the same problem, only much smaller and multiplied by eight.

Oh, it was going to be a long, long day.

It was a relief that things were back to normal. Seivarden was in a reasonably good mood, even if her eye still hurt from being punched by some people in Baltimore, who for some reason had suddenly turned violent when she had asked for directions to a good teahouse.

Now she was making flower arrangements. The flowers might produce pollen, but it was definitely of the normal kind.

It was good to have gotten off the island while that pollen had been going on, but it did mean the Ghost needed a bit of maintenance now.

So, she was puttering around, making sure it was still in top shape, and generally just enjoying working on it.

If anyone needed anything, the scrapyard was open, but they might need to get her attention.

While the store was technically open, the lights out front weren't on and he hadn't set out an item of the day. Saturdays were his chill days (chiller than usual) and he was not about to encourage customers coming in. He had TV to watch.

[The door is open even if the store doesn't look like it. OCD-free]

There was this place, neatly nestled between the trees, where nothing but grass ever grew: it was meant for something else, and nature knew it.

That something else was today. A bright light sprang to life in the center of this clearing, briefly blinding, then faded somewhat into a humming purple portal into possibility.

Lo, the children would come.

[[ you're all good to go, woo au kids! ]]

Miguel glanced at the specials board. "Uh, guys? That's not really -"

"Trust me," the cook said. "It's perfect for today."

Miguel shrugged. Whatever they were up to, he probably didn't want to know.

Peter could sense that something was a little magically...off, today, but it didn't seem malevolent, whatever it was.

So, as both a way of keeping an eye and a way of enjoying the day, he was at the park today, sitting on a bench with a book. And shooing off flamingos and ducks from time to time. "Sorry, no food today."
