Turtle & Canary; Saturday [04/07].
Saturday, April 7th, 2018 07:35 amWell, today was certainly....interesting. All that ridiculous pollen seemed to have cleared up from the air, sure, but it seemed to also reveal something else: a tall teenager in an incredibly well made suit of armor showing up claiming to be Amaya's daughter. A daughter that absolutely gushed about how Amaya had clearly taken her advice and gotten that anti-aging potion that "Daddy is going to love!" and how she could "see what all the fuss was about now," said with a wink, a wink that Amaya could almost see even though the girl had, until that point, not removed her helm. And once she did take off the helmet, she revealed a winning smile and long blonde hair that definitely did not support her claim that Amaya was her mother, until she realized the glint from her smile was not from her shining white teeth, but rather a set of braces, and those blue, blue eyes were definitely a mirror of Amaya's own.
Right. So the island was doing one of its weird things where she wished she could just blame it all on a wizard, like that weekend she'd spent as a child. Only this time it was a separate child, with some mysterious man that she was a little curious about but her desire to not know was much stronger, some man that she was...ugh!...apparently in a relationship with. It was all very confusing, and Amaya would rather not think about it, so it was a good thing she had the store to go to, and she asked the daughter if she could help.
"Zephyr can do it!" she announced brightly.
Right. Sure, she could. And apparently, Zephyr could also babysit, because when they got to Turtle & Canary, it appeared Apu was having a bit of the same problem, only much smaller and multiplied by eight.
Oh, it was going to be a long, long day.
