Kanan walked into the diner for his shift, settled in behind the counter, and waited.

One minute passed.

Ten minutes passed.

Half an hour passed.

He turned to squint at the kitchen staff, who were all busy doing their respective jobs.

... An hour passed...

The Perk- Sunday afternoon

It wasn't that Sabine was bored. She had plenty to paint- sometimes even with permission- and she'd given herself space for projects and training... People complained about boredom, but she was never at a loss for anything to do. She was restless, which was different, and felt like she was just trying to fill up her time here. So she was trying to refocus a little.

She'd gotten a drink at the Perk (which she'd gotten because she liked the look of it and promptly decided it was gross and she wasn't drinking any more) and had a seat by the window with a sketchbook, essentially drawing explosions. She was also adding notes on what she thought she'd need to actually get that for real, even though she didn't have nearly enough supplies for any of it right now and wouldn't set anything like it off in a town like this anyway. Still, it was fun to think about.

Look, you had your hobbies, she had hers.

While at work, Rey just happened to check the Portalocity app, like she'd done almost every day since she learned there was an app. And to her shock, there were actually dates in August to book to go home. Still in the middle of that shock, she booked it.

And after a few seconds of relief, there came all the unexpected feelings she hadn't really thought about before this, and she was going to immediately find busy work to do.

Demon Marcus, Sunday Afternoon

Sparkle had contemplated just not coming in to work today, since he'd been at Demon Marcus on Wednesday already this week. It would save him the commute, which he really should have known was going to be... what it was.

But noooo, he'd talked himself in to coming to work today because he needed to water his plants,, and it would've actually been worthwhile if Portalocity was even cooperating in the first place.

He stumbled into the clothing shop several hours late today, wearing a cape and missing one shoe, his hair dyed bright green.

The less that was said about these trips, the better.

Atlas Gym, Sunday Afternoon

There was less swearing now than when Seivarden had first visited the shooting range. Hitting the targets more often did that, and both the actual improvement of her skill and the emotional outlet firing a weapon provided, made this a good Sunday afternoon activity. She had brought some tea, and took a break now and then to sip from her cup.

The gun ranges on board ships were virtual, and although extremely realistic in order to be useful, just knowing that she was firing actual bullets made a difference. She just wished the weapons here were better.
