The door at Wellspring Arms had been closed for several weeks.

This morning, it was open. The NOW HIRING sign was back on the door, as was Come In, We're Open!.

Where had Cable been these past few weeks? He wasn't saying.

He was, however, sitting behind the counter.

Summer wasn't nervous. Really, she wasn't. She was just pacing a spot on the floor in between the time she'd shown up at the community center early to set up for her class and when the class actually began because of, uh, um...exercise. Yeah. That was it. And as the clock ticked closer to when the class would actually start, she knew she had to stop pacing and figure out what to do with herself while she waited for people (or nobody, it could be nobody, or at the very least just her and BDG because he promised and he wouldn't break a promise to her, but if it was just him then they could spend the whole time just dicking around on the internet and that actually wouldn't be that bad, maybe that'd be better, so hopefully maybe only he'd show up? But then...)

It went on inside her head like that for a while, so in the end, she decided to just lean against desk at the front of the room and cling to her pumpkin spice latte and nod at people as they came in. And once it was time, it was time. No backing out now.

T42 - Thursday 6am-6pm

Hernando puttered around the shop. He adjusted the angle of some framed prints, rearranged the branches of the purring pussy willow plants to keep them out of the way for the seating nearby, wiped a smudge off the glass of the front door.

It was a physical touchstone moment even though he'd been at the store the day before as well. Tuesday had been hectic, Wednesday had been recovering, today was Thursday and he intended to have his head entirely in the tea shop business for the day.

Pastries were arranged and labeled on the counter. He went to check the sign before putting it out.

He gave the sign a squint before he went to look at the canisters. That was the name printed on the canister as well. It was certainly not a brand of green tea he'd ever heard of but the store seemed to know what it was doing.

Newcomers? To the island? To the store? A small shake of his head. He'd find out soon enough, he supposed. The sign was placed outside on the sidewalk. Today promised to be warm and humid. When he went back inside, he began steeping all the specials so he'd have it ready as iced tea.

Furnado Animal Shelter; Thursday [08/30].

Thursday were now the best days, because Sidon's Thursdays were now filled with more animals than before. And after a very exciting morning of playing with the students in Zack's class, the puppies were plum tuckered out and laying in a big heap by the window, napping away from such a big and exciting day.

Which meant that Sidon had taken up the duty of making sure the kittens didn't disturb the puppies or make too much noise and wake them up, which they seemed very keen on doing today. He could only assume it was because it was typically the kittens sleeping all day and the puppies trying to disturb them.

Between sleepy puppies and playful kittens, though, Sidon could easily mark this up to a successful day indeed!

Furnado is open!
