Furnado Animal Shelter; Thursday [11/12].

Truth be told, Sidon didn't even know they had any turkeys at the shelter. Perhaps he was new? All he knew for sure was that the turkey in the shelter today was being absolutely insufferable, strutting around the whole place importantly and gobbling at anyone who'd listen about how he'd managed to survive another harrowing Thanksgiving.

And, of course, Sidon would listen. And, all things considered, really, he couldn't blame the turkey for feeling so proud and accomplished, but, really, a little bit of humbleness could go an awful long way. You didn't see the fish start flouncing their fins all over the place every week for having survived another Thursday without getting eaten, now, did you?

Furnado is open! Don't mind the gloating turkey.

From what Sabine understood, today was the start of too many days focused on family and togetherness and other things that would leave her feeling bad. Great.

She was still at work today, even knowing no one was going to come in, and if anyone needed her she'd be back in the shooting range. Today seemed like a good day to get paid for some catharsis.

Octavia was aware that this was yet another holiday. It was also just another day for her, so here she was, at work. Also realizing that the holiday meant there weren't really any orders coming in today.

So she was trying to busy herself with general tidying up around the store. She was still doing her best not to think too much about last weekend - or that one around a month ago, either, on that note - and to do that, she needed distractions.

At least the store was going to be extra clean for tomorrow.
