If Astrid actually listened to the radio broadcasts, she would have ended up agreeing with Brooke with a groan, because she had all four of those classes on Mondays, and her very packed beginning-of-the-week schedule was leaving her exhausted. Mentally more than physically, but that was enough. So she went into work at the flower shop that day hoping nothing too demanding was going on, because she was just not in any mood to deal with it. She was in a mood to take a nap and just check out for a while.

A mood she was trying to fight, at least a little bit, with some reading, but the flowers, in what she thought was a little bit counter-intuitive, seemed to goad her along with soothing, almost lullaby-like songs, distracting her away from the words on the page, making her drift off into daydreaming, until the lids her eyes grew too heavy to hold up anymo--

--Astrid shook herself back awake, gave the flowers a bit of a withering look, and considered potentially closing up the shop just briefly so she could run to the Perk and get some coffee or tea or something, just to get her through the rest of the day.

The Magic Box, Tuesday

Norman walked in to the magic shop today, blinked, looked at what was set out before him, and then just kind of shrugged and got to work.

The magic books were playing fetch with the puppy. Which... they were perfectly welcome to do. Norman certainly wasn't going to stop anybody from playing with the puppy.

Even if they were using another book as a frisbee.

You do you, guys. Just so long as it wasn't one of the expensive ones.

It had been a long night followed by a tough day, and Kitty really didn't want to be working a night job today. She would much rather be asleep.

But she was here, and she'd gotten the zombies to play more uptempo music (all from their first album but whatever).

Hannibal had a number of NPC patients today, so he was at least kept busy.

Unfortunately, most of that busy was listening to them complain about things like a fear of rickshaws or hating stairs.

Kagura wasn't even attempting to sort scrap today.

No, she was attempting to build a man from junk. Like one would build a snowman.

"Hey hey, Sadaharu, find me something that looks like a head, huh?" she told her dog.

Sadaharu instead went to go pee on the weird bitey metal. They absolutely did not like that.

But the scrapyard was open!
