The Magic Box, Tuesday

Norman walked into the Magic Box and was immediately accosted by the cerberus puppy. Who... smelled faintly of banana, Norman thought, which was... weird. But okay. He settled in for his shift behind the counter, and was only there for about ten minutes before the puppy trotted up to him, holding a solid chunk of chrysoberyl in one of its mouths that was...

... Shaped like a banana.

Norman squinted at it.

"Was... was that one of the crystal spheres?" They hadn't had much chrysoberyl in stock, after all. The pup deposited it on the floor, barked in triplicate, and then gave a happy trot around the shop again. This time Norman watched him go, sniffing at this and that. A candle with banana-shaped etchings. A book of banana recipes sitting on the ancient tomes shelf. No few crystal wands and orbs, all shaped like bananas. The walls still had the slightest hint of banana-shaped spots on them.

Norman wasn't even sure what to do with this. He just kind of stood there and stared for a good portion of the morning, until a customer came in to buy some incense.

It was banana scented.

Covent Garden Flowers; Tuesday [02/26].

Hopefully, there wasn't a whole lot of things that Astrid was expected to do that day at the flower shop; she came in intending to get a good amount of stuff done, especially since she'd had a week off, but she'd also intended to finish up on her letter to her mother about the trip in between those tasks, too. And that letter, quickly becoming a grand and illustrated manifesto as Astrid took her brain and wrung it like a sponge, spilling out everything she'd so attentively absorbed onto the paper, swiftly took over everything else.

It wasn't exactly easy going; words were always harder than pictures, and there was a small mountain of crumpled up reject pages at her elbow. The flowers might be a little neglected today, but at least she knew the letter would be ready to drop off to be mailed by the end of her shift.

...probably.

It had to be perfect.

Caritas- Tuesday

It was the first day back from the trip, and Kitty just sort of didn't wanna today. Sure, she'd happily serve everyone, but until they came in she'd be playing games on her phone.

Don't look at her like that, Tino, we all have our days.

Fandom Post Office, February 26 (Tuesday)

Éponine was having one of those days when you got a song stuck in your head, and it was all well and good until it became clear that the song was not going away. That much was evident, from the way she kept humming the same tune until she seemed to catch herself doing it, stopped abruptly, and shook her head with a loud, annoyed sigh only to pick right back up humming that exact same tune all over again a minute later.

At least the post office had seen fit to provide a random bowl of fruit on the front counter today, so she could partially vent her annoyance by crunching loudly on an apple or some such.
