If there were a lot of orders in the flower shop that day, Astrid hadn't spent nearly as much attention on them as she probably should have. She was going to blame yesterday's Civil Disobedience class on that, really, and talking with Mae, because her attention was definitely in her sketchbook. It really was kind of a shame that she couldn't find the tattoo gun from last time (revealed, as she left, handwavily and entirely in my head to have been confiscated by Detective Diaz and kept in her top desk drawer, with wholly insincere regrets on the copper's part). She had a feeling Mae would have been down for some ink, and she could add something new for herself, though she wasn't sure what it would be, and that's what distracted her so well at the counter of the flower shop that day, possible new tattoos, should she feel so inclined.
Another flower was out of the question; she just kept going back to oleanders. Which then lead to the sketching of a person completely covered in oleander tattoos, which was a good, distracting challenge to keep her busy.
As if she didn't have, you know, work to keep her busy or anything...
Covent Garden is open!
