Yeah, yeah, she should still be taking it easy, but Beau was still convinced that all you really needed to fix most injuries was a good solid eight hours of sleep. Though, for some reason, that didn't seem to work as well here as she thought she recalled it doing back home.

So, fine. No parkour course for her today, since she'd gotten as far as the first vault and ended up letting out a string of blistering swear words in a mix of Common and Halfling, and maybe a tiny bit of Deep Speech mixed up in there. She wasn't even going after the heavy bag.

Instead, Beau was on the treadmill, just so she could keep moving, keeping to a leisurely walking pace and looking like she wanted to climb the walls. Figuratively and literally, that was true.

. . . no, really. She was working. Seriously.

[OOC: Gym/post are open! I will never not laugh about the way the D&D long rest mechanic would work in real-world practice, okay?]

New semester. New kids. Newness everywhere, as well as glitter, as Summer industriously worked to fill the front window with all the necessary signs for that first full week after the new kids landed. And man was she missing her little delinquent artist just about right now, too. Sure, Summer's signs were fine, they did the trick, she only ran out of space for the letters once, but Astrid's work had definitely spoiled her and lured her into a false sense of security about how tedious and annoying it could be making all the damn signs.

But the first week required, like, all the signs.

Out of all the dumb things on this island, Rosa was pretty sure that the dumbest had to be the slew of after-crisis paperwork. Most of it didn't even make sense, all of it was tedious, and she was pretty sure half of it just disappeared after it was filed, because if every crisis produced as much paperwork as she'd gone through with the handful of events that she'd been here with so far, they would all be drowning in old files. This time around, though, it was particularly frustrating, because not even much had even happened on the island, just that weird dome and some people getting bitten, really, so she was firmly of the mindset that they shouldn't even deal with half of this stuff; the Baltimore police (or the government agents covering the whole thing up) should.

Which is why Rosa was spending less time actually filling out paperwork and filing it and more time actually taking that paperwork, packing it up with a particular determination and irritation, and slapping on a bunch of shipping labels that would send them all right back to Baltimore where she felt they belonged.

Which likely meant those boxes were going to be returned right back to the Trooper Station before the week was out.

And next Monday, Rosa would send them right back again.

It was definitely going to be a thing.

The post office was intent on feeding her today, Éponine decided; every so often, as she was sorting mail out for various recipients, she'd open a mailbox and find a roast leg of lamb inside.

This, she suspected, would be just fine until she ran out of room in the break room refrigerator, so hopefully any customers who came in today would be interested in some free food.

[OOC: Post office and post are open! Some SP in the middle of my day while I go get a camera jammed down my throat and then have to recover from the anesthetic, though . . .]
