Well, the shop wasn't flooded, there was at least that, but there seemed to be a very dedicated attempt by the walls to change all of that. So after spending most of yesterday doing whatever she could to patch up the leaks that seemed to permiate from nearly everywhere, including spots that didn't even make sense for leaking (all the while feeling incredibly offended that they should be anywhere that would think she would ever have leaks in anything she'd built), Amaya got the forge back to where she felt she could at least work. Try as she might, not even she seemed to be able to get all the leaks, but she had spent a good amount of time at least trying to put those leaks to work, funneling the water into a sort of generator to help keep the forge going particularly hot and dry to combat the cold clamminess that was just not good for keeping and storing weapons.

At least she'd gotten Beau's shuriken finished last week, although, with everything that had been going on, once Amaya managed to take care of everything with the leaks, she was almost at a loss as to what to work on next.

Probably some sort of silencer or sound damper for the Crumbler, really, because it was a useful thing, that Crumbler, but, zards, was it loud.

The Forge is open!

One could argue that tending to the bitey bits and moving heavy pieces of scrap from here to over here wasn't that pressing of a matter considering the whole state of the place right now, but fuck if Wayne had much else going on and, after scouting out the place and fighting it out with some of those messed-up degens that seemed to be lurking in any available damp shadow, he knew what he'd be in for coming out today.

The bitey bits at least enjoyed the fact that there was extra tasty rust on more things than usual this week, and Wayne was pleased to see that, even though they couldn't exactly say please and thank you anymore, he could at least tell by the polite way they stopped in their chomping and bouncing whenever he held up a piece he was planning on feeding them that they were thinking it.

Plus, he figured, at least this week, his moving pieces of scrap from here to here would have some purpose, as he figured he could move them to provide a little barrier or some obstacles for any of those degens who thought they wanted another tilt with the Toughest Guy in Letterkenny.

Syndulla Scrap was open!

On weeks like this one, Kitty was the safest person in town. She'd actually considered bringing Lexi with her, just to feel better having an eye on her, but decided it'd be better to not draw attention to her. Besides, when something tried to attack Kitty and just couldn't, it was kinda funny, but it'd likely freak out a seven-month-old.

She figured it'd be a quiet night, but like she'd said on radio, at least it was safe here. The bar had held up pretty well, even if the storage room was pretty picked over, but there was the sanctuary spell, and Kitty had some supplies here in case anyone needed any basic medical attention. Also the Art Deco look kind of worked.

She wasn't sure about the Plasmi-Quik chair thing in the back room, though.

Man, the pickings in the animal shelter today were... sparse. Sure, there were plenty of fish, because who out there was in a hurry to adopt fish when all you had to do was go outside and look out the window to see sharks and whales passing by? There... seemed to be fewer chickens than before on the roof, and it was with a bit of a grimace that Zack started bringing them inside. Apparently the island didn't see fit to turn them into dinosaurs or anything, this time around.

He hoped they had simply wandered off to explore, rather than being picked off by the angry people with meat-hooks and the like around here. He wasn't going to hold his breath, though.

At least the animals that had been inside all the while seemed okay?

... Zack was equipping materia that wasn't likely to punch holes in anything for this week, though. Seemed like a good idea. Full cure, Wall, Hell Thundaga...? Or maybe Graviga...

Well, this new development sure was... a thing.

Today's Special
The Big Daddy Challenge
We filled a diving helmet with fish, shrimp, and potato, can you eat it all in under ten minutes?

"...I really hope no one comes in for this," Mitsutada said. He was admittedly busy cleaning off his sword. The splicers he'd encountered on his way to work were... not exactly friendly.

Luke's was open!
