Peter stood in front of the room looking a bit confused today.

"Hi there. The squirrels actually came to me this week with a request for a cold movie. I'm not really sure why, but it seems as good as anything, so - this week's movie is a horror film that's considered a classic and takes place in the coldest place on Earth. There's the usual popcorn and chips and drinks, so please help yourself. I didn't make hot cocoa, even if it's probably thematic, because I didn't think anyone would want it in this weather. Anyway, enjoy!"

T42 - Thursday 6am-6pm

It was the first time in a long time that the island had been normal enough for Hernando to open the store. The baby signs were proudly clacking around the counter, hopping and arranging themselves near their chosen baked goods. Hernando had a very wide variety of baked goods today. The store seemed to be a little anxious. He gave the counter a few pats while he set everything ready.

The quokka, too, were excited. Bouncing up on the ledge at the window to peer out and churbling to one another cheerfully. Dave was still curled on his cushy bed by the fireplace, watching the activity. It was hot and humid outside and he was still on the hearth. Hernando bit his lip a little; if the vet stopped by today, he really wanted them to take a look at Dave. But that was a small worry, Dave's behavior hadn't changed since he got the cushy bed so it wasn't like it was a sudden chill or anything.

The art on the walls was bright and cheerful. It seemed perhaps the store was also tired of all the shuffling the island had done. All the paintings were of normal outdoor scenes. People gathered on a beach for a picnic, a man sitting on a bench feeding some ducks in the dappled sunlight, what looked like a Rockwell print of children playing in the surf at a beach; others, some watercolors but mostly oils or acrylics. He spent some time simply admiring them before he wandered over to the door and turned the lock to open up.

Was Vette wearing her Kitty-Dolphin shirt to work at the scrapyard today?

You bet she was wearing her Kitty-Dolphin shirt to work at the scrapyard today. It was so colorful! And it had a dolphin on it! Which reminded her a lot of Sidon, which tracked. She'd read somewhere that dolphins did a lot of smiling, and that was Sidon all over. And the multiple rows of jagged teeth, those were just kinda endearing. Rusty seemed to like them, anyway, the bitey bit bouncing back and forth in his pen and showing his off in response.

And now Vette wanted a dolphin. Just because. Maybe she'd work on her swimming skills after work, since it was actually almost comfortably hot around here lately. Little rainy today, but she wasn't about to let a little rain stop her from her dolphin quest!

... This was going to end in her getting eaten by a shark.
