Furnado Animal Shelter; Thursday [08/01].
Thursday, August 1st, 2019 05:54 amWhy, oh why, did Furnado need to be literally on practically the opposite end of the island, huh? Granted, Prompto defintiely didn't need to feel bad about not getting in his run today due to, you know, the place being lifted up on non-continguious mushrooms that made it a little hard to get in a good stride, much less a consistent jog, because he was getting more than enough of a work-out trying to get himself to work that day.
He almost thought about just calling in.
Especially when he managed to get as far as Phoenix Way, almost misjudged a leap to nearly miss a platform....only to have that platform start sinking faster than he could manage to leap off its it onto the next one, which sent him right back to the dorms.
HE WAS SO CLOSE! The urge to ragequit was strong. But maybe it was the fact that this was, you know, life, and not a video game, and he didn't even have a controller to throw in a fury on the floor, helped him get the resolve to try it at least one more time...
...nope. Just one more...
...one more...
...he was definitely getting it this ti--
--why was this so much harder in real life? He should be an expert at this!
But, eventually, he made it. And even though he was late, he decided he was going to stick around a bit afterwards to make up for the lost time...and because he definitely needed some recovery after all.
...mostly by pulling out his phone and diving into super-pixelated King's Knight. Look. His ego was feeling a little battered right now, he needed to spend some time in a video game he was actually good at to soothe it over a bit.
Furnado is open!
