In general, Rosa tried her best to ignore the troopers when they were bored and finding ways to occupy themselves in the occasionally long stretched without a crisis around the island, but she found herself narrowing her eyes toward the plastic habitat sitting on Ralph's desk right now and the two guinea pigs (both named Claire, apparently) inside.

Why did she have the feeling this was going to potentially turn into a whole thing?

She was glad that she hadn't brought Anna Pavlova in today, though, because between her dog, the station cat, and apparently Ralph's two Claires, this was turning into less of a police station and more of a zoo.

They were cute, though, the guinea pigs, but it shouldn't surprise anyone that Rosa would think so. Everyone knew she was the mushy one on the squad.

The trooper station, it seemed, was not the only place that seemed to have gained a few new furry friends that day. Summer came into the shop, her mind already on business and ordering and wondering just how much of the store's profits were going directly into her boss's exorbitant and mildly impressive sake habit, only to find that some of the displays by the register and the Squishy machine had been moved aside to make room for a make-shift wrestling ring that was filled with very confused looking puppies and kittens. And Apu had clearly been behind this one, having also set up a folding table with a sign that said "PLACE YOUR BETS!" and made Summer wonder exactly what the gambling laws on this island might be.

"Erm?" she said, feeling that she didn't need to say anything more.

But, apparently, in the grand tradition of Apu seeming to just make up ridiculous holidays, today was both National Puppy Day as well as Cuddly Kitten Day, a situation that was untenable to Apu, apparently, and so he had set it up so that the puppies and the kittens could duke it out, and whoever came out on top could claim the day for themselves once and for all.

It was sure to be a battle for the centuries. If by 'battle' you meant a bunch of adorable baby animals flopping on each other, grooming each other, and occasionally chasing each other's tails.

Still, Summer put a twenty down on kittens, because she was pretty sure if she didn't, and her cat found out about it, there would be trouble.

Some days you just ... had a whole lot of excess restless energy to burn off. Granted, that was pretty much every day for Beau, but today it felt like a lot more than usual, which meant that her usual habits of hitting the parkour course and the heavy bag weren't quite doing enough for her. Not even when she got super fancy and started burning through her ki reserves just to do cool flashy shit with her Step of the Wind technique, putting on brief bursts of slightly alarming speed between vaults and flips.

(And sure, she still couldn't do that much of it before she tapped out of ki and had to take a breather, but still.)

So far, her attempts to persuade various clients to throw things at her so she could practice catching them out of the air hadn't met with much success, though.

... maybe she should start easing up on all of that free hot chocolate that kept appearing, huh?

[OOC: I can't guarantee that my brain is all here today, but gym/post open!]

"No, not a teabag. You know that's not acceptable."

The barista just looked at her.

"You're just doing this to annoy me, aren't you?"

Slowly, the barista reached for the jar with tea leaves, with bare hands.

"No, you can't do that without gloves! And I'm not even going to pay if you put milk in it."

This was Seivarden trying to order tea at The Perk on a Monday morning, although honestly, this would happen any time of day, any day of the week she tried it.

"Don't you get tired of this too?"

At least she was expecting some company. Hopefully the barista would have managed to make proper tea when Lucifer arrived.

[For Lucifer, but very open]

Nell had spent a good deal of the weekend in her room in a surprisingly comfortable pillow fort. Partly because it was there, but mostly because she'd never done anything like that before and it was fun.

But today she was soothing her soul by working with the plants. Getting her hands in the soil and doing a little communing.

Without gloves.

Sorry, Seivarden.
