Astrid did have a nice new scarf that she'd plucked out of a tree on her way into work today (and she was contemplating going back for a pair of boots she saw that she liked), but other than that, she was honestly a little annoyed. Now that she seemed to get her artistic ability back, all she wanted to do was draw, especially since she had a great idea for a series of sketches involving parts of bodies sticking out of walls, of cabinets, of doors, and the like, that could look really interesting and haunting and confusing for anyone who didn't understand the inspiration behind it. But when she got to work that day, there was actually...a lot of work to do be done.

Who would have thought Halloween centerpieces would even be a thing, much less an apparently very popular thing with the unnamed citizenry of this island and a few dedicated customers from across the causeway?

Good thing they still had plenty of pumpkins at least, and more than enough oleanders for Astrid to sneak into each one of the pieces as she worked on them. It was sort of her calling card by now, in a way.

So. This was it. This was Tisarwat's first Tuesday not as a mere employee of the music shop, but as its owner. The position was potentially temporary, but, knowing full well how things were likely going to go out there, back home in the Radch, she wasn't expecting she'd see much of Breq or Seivarden again. Some other Tisarwat would. She'd talked it over with Summer a little, trying to figure out how it all worked, but it just ended up giving her a headache and it was probably best not to think about it too much, because if there really were infinite realities like Summer said, then literally anything could happen, and that idea made Tisarwat feel deeply uncomfortable.

So she was going to focus less on being the last Radchaai standing and more on the fact that there was a business to be run, and at least there wasn't a whole lot to it, but it was definitely going to feel pretty lonely both in the store and the apartment below so her first order of business, she felt, was to make sure there was a sign outside. It was sort of in the off-season, with no new people around looking for work, but maybe with all these holidays coming up, someone might be interested in earning a little extra cash for it. Either way, the sign simply read:

Now Hiring

And Tisarwat went to turn her attention to mostly how inefficient and needlessly complicated the whole process of using a computer was on this planet.

Groovy Tunes is open! And under new management!

There was a Halloween party on Saturday and the Heist was going on now, so Kitty was in a great mood. Sge was still putting up decorations for the weekend on her shift- airwalking a few steps up when needed because stepstools were for suckers- and also scribbling themed drink recipes on napkins when she thought of something.

And once in a while she'd say something like, "Maybe I should have put up my own surveillance cameras."

Having a bit of a one-on-one with Amenadiel about the bloody Hell thing had at least settled Lucifer a bit. Enough so that he'd actually placed a few calls and taken a poke at the calendar to come up with the correct time and venue for a proper party.

It was a Tuesday night, his third shift since returning to the island, and he settled behind the piano in his black vest with his white shirt, his jacket slung over the piano bench.

Time for a good classic, he felt.

He leaned in to the microphone. "What'll you do when you get lonely? And nobody's waiting by your side? You've been running and hiding much too long, you know it's just your foolish pride... Layla..."

The Devil was in, and it was a perfectly ordinary Tuesday.
