Groovy Tunes; Thursday [01/21].

Troy wasn't even going to bother acknowledging the headphone monster. He was just going to completely ignore it today.

Of course, that was mostly in part to the fact that there seemed to be an awful lot of things breaking around the store today. First there was the stereo, but that was an easy enough fix. The register got jammed, but he took care of that easily. One of the pipes burst and threatened to be a really big problem, but Troy managed to fix it with barely even a wave of his wrench. Then there was the heater, but that was barely even a blip on his radar, and it didn't even occur to him as, in between various things breaking down, this could have been a nightmare sort of day in the hands of anyone less capable.

Instead, he mostly just took care of it and then settled in behind the register to flip through some music magazine.

Dite's Decadent Delights - Thursday

It was a new day and despite the cold or any misgivings, Barry was in Dite's today. And in a fit of inspiration organized specific merchandise by voltage usage and energy consumption.

And when he was done he realized that no one would understand that and started to move it back.

Really... he was just bored at work today and the experiments back in the warehouse were just going to take a while to finish their cycle so anything that was distracting was welcome.

Trooper Station, Friday

Liam’s conversation with Annie last week had gotten him thinking, because while he was pretty much fine with this whole vegetarian thing, sometimes he really did miss things like hamburgers. And it had been a whole year since that... experience... in Wildemount, maybe it was time to give it a try again? So he’d picked himself up a hamburger and fries- from Luke’s, not Mooby’s, he wasn’t a savage- around lunchtime and brought it back to the Station.

He picked up the burger and took a bite. Chewed. Swallowed. Not bad.

Managed to get halfway through the burger until those borrowed memories resurfaced, hitting him like a metaphorical freight train and sending him scrambling for the wastebasket. The burger (and that morning’s breakfast) was far less enjoyable coming back up than it had been going down.

The Trooper Station was open, if somewhat nauseous.
