It would seem that the flowers in the shop had really enjoyed a certain someone's party playlist that Sunday, because when Astrid came into the shop on Tuesday, they were still sort of in party mode, apparently, and the place looked a bit more like a club than flower shop, as they all bopped along with thumping bass and remixes with some sick drops.

So....so much for the nice, quiet day she'd been hoping for.

Astrid was sort of wondering how they'd managed to get the lights to flicker with alternating colors like that and where in the world a bunch of flowers would have gotten a smoke machine, but, really, she had been on this island long enough to know that there really were no good answers to that question, and decided, instead, to figure out if making a call to the trooper station to put in a noise complaint could get someone over here to shut this party down.

But she'd feel kind of bad. They seemed like they were having fun, so...

Covent Garden is open! And ready to party!

For the most part, it was a relatively quiet day at Groovy Tunes that Tuesday, not because of the Silence or any stereo issues, just because there was generally a very chill vibe in the air as Tisarwat went about her usual business in maintaining the shop and keeping things neat and organized and clean.

With the exception of a few moments here and there where she'd be going about her business, and all of a sudden, the music would swell into some big, dramatic, tension-filled overture, like what would play when there was about to be a harrowing battle in some kind of entertainment.

But every time the music stinger hit, Tisarwat looked up from what she was doing, look around, expecting something to happen, but nothing did.

After a while, she wondered if she should just ignore it, but then she couldn't help thinking that the moment she actually did ignore it was probably the moment something would actually happen.

She shook her head and decided to just call it a day and have some tea at the counter.

Never had drinking tea seemed to edge-of-your-seat exciting, if anyone was to go off of the music that played out whenever she lifted her cup.

Groovy Tunes is open!

Today saw a big old shipment of red wine. Kitty didn't know why.

She'd also spent at least an hour trying to figure out what kind of red it was. The label just said "red," and when she called the company that she did not remember ordering from, they just told her, "Well, it's red."

By now Kitty was a little worried that it tasted like the color red.

SPECIALS
RED WINE
It's just red, idk

It was an incredible relief to be back behind the piano at the Nest. Like everything was back to normal again, or what went for it at Fandom.

He was still worried, and twitchy, and perhaps dealing with a slew of repressed emotions he didn't want to think about. But the joy of repressed emotions was that you could just go on repressing them and everything would be fine.

No, Lucifer was going to celebrate the normalcy in the air tonight with an absolute piano cliche classic.

"It's nine o'clock on a Saturday
Regular crowd shuffles in
There's an old man sittin' next to me
Makin' love to his tonic and gin...
"

Tiny sighed, and put 'GIN AND TONIC' up on the specials board.

Ugh, Faye actually had, like, a boss now.

Or something like it, anyway. She had someone who was supposedly in charge of this place, who wasn't a teenager who seemed to have kind of stumbled into things. Like, Armor Guy was sort of...authoritative. Like he might have expectations.

So Faye was only two minutes late today, instead of her usual fifteen, and she actually posted up behind the counter to take apart and clean her own gun. Sure, it was sort of a personal thing, still, but it was also a demonstration that she knew what she was doing. And if someone came in and conveniently wanted to buy a Glock, well, she had one all taken apart to show them. So, really, she was also doing sales.

See? Model employee.

Leaving his boat yesterday had gone well, and Duke was pretty sure he was supposed to teach a class tomorrow, so he took it a step further today and headed into town. He made his way to the Perk, where he could fortify himself with some caffeine and a muffin and try to set up his new phone, since both his old primary phone and the one he'd used in Haven were now toast.

He was trying to resist the urge to try calling Nathan when he noticed he had a few messages.

"He threw it into the sea?"

A few days ago -- or maybe a couple of weeks, she wasn't really sure -- Yasha had dreamt of thunderstorms across the causeway, calling to her; taking that as a sign that she would be able to leave at least for a while, she'd gone to go test out that theory and discovered she was right.

It was just before dawn when she returned to the island; she didn't have any more answers about the gap in her memory than she'd had when she left, but she was still drawn back here by some force or impulse she couldn't quite put a finger on. Maybe it was the Stormlord's guidance, maybe she was starting to develop a bit of a fondness for this place and even some of the people in it despite her best efforts to the contrary, maybe it was because she knew she could get back to Exandria from here to meet up with the Mighty Nein, if they needed her. Whatever the reason, and she didn't care much to dig too deeply into it, here she was. Again.

She had no interest yet in going back to the little hotel cabin she refused to think of as home. Besides, the sun would be coming up any moment now... and she could hardly pass up the opportunity to watch as it did. The colors of the sunrise hadn't yet stopped amazing her, at least not here or in the Empire, or on the Menagerie Coast, or out on the Lucidian Ocean. Anywhere that wasn't the dull, muted, lifeless wastes of Xhorhas, really, the sunrise was beautiful and full of color, and as tended to be the case with beautiful things Yasha really just couldn't get enough of it. (Even if the colors did sometimes remind her a little too vividly of Mollymauk.)

So she made her way to the park, pausing just long enough to pluck a handful of blossoms from a cluster of forget-me-nots near the pond, then sat down on a bench, looking toward the horizon with a wistful expression on her face as she half-absently braided the flowers into her hair.

Several stray cats clustered around her feet, purring. They probably sensed that she was not the type to withhold pets and scritches, and they were correct about that.

[OOC: Gasp. I'm trying to do a thing. Sorry about the Extra in this post, but I'm coping with my feelings about the fucking heartbreaking cover art for this girl's upcoming backstory graphic novel. Anyway, expecting someone, but also open. When I wake up.]
