The Onsen; Saturday Afternoon [03/20].

Tomorrow marked the date Yamamoto's first supposedly manditory meetings for the Gotei 13 (apparently, Shunsui had not actually been the only errant captain or lieutenant of the bunch, though he supposed, as one of the senior and founding members, he was one of the ones who should know better), and he was, unsurprisingly, dragging his heels and taking his time in actually making it back to the Seireitei before then. He was, in fact, considering just ignoring the whole thing and claiming he forgot, and was in the process of deciding which would be the more taxing of his options: suffering through an undoubtedly long and arduous staff meeting or suffering through wrath and ice cold glares from his lieutenant the next time he did actually see her.

Clearly, these were decisions that required a great deal of meditation and thought, and what better way to collect one's thoughts than to have a nice, relaxing dip in the onsen with a little bit of sake?

After all, no matter what he decided, he was going to need to appreciate and savor the moment of relaxation and calm before throwing himself into either situation...

Mmmm, he could always claim the portals hadn't been working. Or that the island was clearly blocking his powers so he couldn't escape his gigai. It wasn't as if anyone could argue that it was entirely impossible, really... So he certainly had options...

Trooper Station | Saturday

Diego was busy with the paperwork he had been too lazy to do last week, and he was kind of grateful for the distraction. While he was extremely happy for Annie and hoped she did nail her try out for The Seven, the words "long distance relationship" were scary ones. Now that he was alone (aside from the troopers) it gave him more time to think about it which was allowing him to think of how this could all go wrong.

So maybe not all of the paperwork would be done today. But more will be done than last week, which was something.

Luke's Diner, Saturday

Miguel was back to normal this week, and he was really glad of it, even if some people might have preferred him chill. That just wasn't him (and that really wasn't Rosa).

So he headed in and went straight for the coffee pot, drinking a cup before he put up the specials.

Cornbread waffles with chili
Hashbrowns with cheese and onions
Pecan pie

Because why not?
