Diego was, like, the opposite of a religious person but he really only had good things to say about Easter when bags of the Reese's eggs found their way to his desk. Something about the egg shape made them taste better in his opinion. There must have been some sort of science behind it.

He was definitely going to the gym later to make up for it, because there was seriously like twenty bags on his desk and he wasn't about to restrain himself or anything.

The bonsai had turned into bonsai-sized flowering trees. There were magnolias and cherry trees, and trees Lucille wasn't sure generally grew in this universe. Between them fluttered tiny pink birds, chirping.

That was pleasant, she supposed, and she put up a sign in the window.

The Perk, Saturday Morning

For once, Jesse wasn't bringing her work to the Perk.

She was just. At the Perk. To drink her nice warm coffee and stare out the window.

(When was the last time I just stared out the window?)

She'd given herself the day off, and, well. She wasn't really used to that. Eventually she was maybe going to figure out what to do with it, but until then, staring it was.

Tino had a laptop out on the bar today.

"I didn't know you could use a computer," Jaye told him.

He was a little squirrelly about it all night, which meant she had to start trying to peek looks to see what horrible stuff he was getting up to on the clock. Which led to other questions, like "Are you putting your apartment up on AirBNB?" and "Is that a website for spring breakers?" and "Do I want to know what all that Jello is for?"
