The odds that Shunsui was behind the counter either napping or drinking sake that day were actually pretty good, so it would likely come to no surprise that he was, in fact, doing one of those things.

It had been a while since he'd offered Apu-san a cup, though, an offer that was refused and met with a withering look as the poor man bustled around the store like there were a million things to do since Summer-chan hadn't been in on Monday to do her usual orders, but a quick glance around showed that the store had provided just fine all on its own.

But oh well. Shunsui was never bothered by a refusal of a cup; that just meant more for him, as he balanced the little vessel lightly on his fingers and wondered idly about just when one of those naps might come around for him,t oo.

Covent Garden Flowers; Wednesday [06/02].

Astrid was quite possibly experience the most boring day she'd ever had in all her years of working at Covent Garden. There were barely any orders needing to be filled, you could just forget it about customers walking through the door, nothing even seemed to be blooming, much less singing or dancing or playing guitar.

(She hoped they hadn't accidentally sold the guitar-playing orchid).

No weird weather events, no bizarre or noteworthy flowers, no overabundance of anything. Just a boring, regular day at what appeared to be just a normal flower shop, and the uneventfulness of it all was enough to sap Astrid's energy so much that she was so bored, she didn't even feel like drawing...

At least it made the decision about whether or not to take a long lunch break to go see what was happening at the park that day pretty easy.

Covent Garden is open!

Caritas; Wednesday [06/02].

For the most part, Summer should...probably not be there at the bar right now. She probably should be home and resting, because she's apparently smoked about three days worth of a K-Zak Array in about three hours a few days ago, which would kill most people, but, after a couple days of some pretty gnarly detoxing and resting, she really felt like she was on the mend, and so she was back in Fandom that morning, making jello shots, going to shenanigans, and opening the bar for her usual shift just like any other Wednesday.

The bar that now, apparently, was set up like a control panel on a space ship, complete with steering wheel, so that was super fun to try to figure out while she was still not feeling 100% up to par and still had to contend with the occasional bout of nausea and dizziness from experiencing something that, by this point, most people would have been dead from.

"At least I'm not going to just assume it's a video game," Summer muttered to herself, as she experimentally pushed a button and was pleased to see that that made one of the beer taps flow.

"Now what about this steering wheel?" she wondered, looking over to Tino who had just figured out that a level opened up the ice bin. "Like, what, is the bar going to be the designated driver for everyone tonight?"

She wouldn't put it past Fandom to have randomly turned the bar into an actual spaceship, but an experimental twist of the wheel caused the lightening in the place to switch through the specturum of colors.

"Oooooooooh," said Summer, turning the wheel until she found a nice shade of pink to provide the backlighting for tonight, until she got sick of that and maybe decided to shift it to a nice purple or blue.

Had Danny gone into work in a bad mood? No. But the moment he was there, it was suddenly Like That.

Give him a little while and he'd realize this was just another weird island thing. But for now he was going to complain about the lack of donuts and fresh coffee.

Wednesday Morning - Fix & Clean Shop

 Dwight stood by the small window and looked out into the streets of Fandom as the sun began to rise on the far side of the island. Even after all this time, those years of military training still stuck with him and Dwight usually found he was welcoming the sunrise pretty much every single day, despite his best efforts to sleep in now and then.

As the sky shifted to lighter and brighter shades he topped off his mug of coffee and headed downstairs. There was one major benefit to having an apartment above the shop- if he ever did manage to sleep in for a change, it would never take him long to get the shop ready and open.

It had been an interesting and eye-opening first week on the island and as he opened up shop for another day, he couldn't help but wonder what the rest of the week had in store. Settling in on the seat behind the counter, Dwight started tinkering with an old radio he had found a few days go, determined to get the antique piece working again.
