You know what?

Astrid definitely did not have a problem with the Beatles. As a matter of fact, she rather liked them, especially some of their later work. But she found herself incredibly pleased to find out that the reason the music playing in the store that day was all Beatles, all the time, was because it was apparently Global Beatles Day.

Not for any particular love for the band, although there was some appreciation there.

It was just that, with Apu, Astrid could have seen this day go very differently as far as 'global beetles day' could be interpreted, and she was very glad that the difference had been noted.

Although now she half wondered if 'global beetles day' was definitely more of a Covent Garden phenomenon for today...

Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

So Silver was a parrot. This was unexpected, but Rey was good at rolling with things by now, so she could get through what was hopefully just maybe a day or two. Well, it'd been more than a day, so maybe three days, tops.

She brought him with her to the warehouse today, since it was probably a cool place to be when you suddenly had wings, though she was going to have to talk to the woodchucks about not throwing anything at anyone who flew.

"You did say you wanted to see me train more," she told him, letting him find somewhere to perch.

The Devil's Nest, Friday Night

It was probably just as well that there was a party on elsewhere and the night was likely to be quiet. For tonight, there was no Devil behind the piano.

Instead, there was a whiteboard in the axe range. It wasn't even intended to vex Eric this time; it had just been the most logical place to put a whiteboard. 'OPERATION PAYBACK DAN', it said in big letters with a circle around it. To the left, there was 'DANIEL'S BORING DAILY ROUTINE'.

Lucifer was currently mapping that one out from 6 AM to midnight.

Wagner was playing very loudly through the speakers, though, so there was that.

The Nest was open. The Devil was preoccupied.

Saturday- Dwight's Apartment Above Fix&Clean Shop

It was early and Dwight was already not having a good day. Not by a long shot. It was not even dark yet, and he was drinking. Not a good sign at all…. (OOC: Yeah, moody post- can’t really blame Dwight though, it’s the first big in-character story line event for him here on Fandom.)


Since arriving in Fandom, he had done his damned hardest to distract himself and stay busy. He didn’t want to think about the quickly approaching date, and he had done a pretty good job for the most part… until the past week. With the date looming large on the horizon, it was getting harder and harder to ignore and pretend that it wasn’t pressing down on him with suffocating force.


Wednesday had been rough, Thursday he barely made it through, and Friday had been nearly unbearable. Dwight had closed up the shop early as soon as he finished sanding down the current set of shelves he had been working on. Work had barely been distracting him from the approaching date and what all it would bring, and without work to keep him busy, his mind was quickly spiraling out into the very place he had been trying so hard to stay away from.
