It was only after it was much, much too late that they all realized that the freezer Apu had put out by the counter for the ice cream his elaborate National Root Beer Float Day display was not actually working.

"No," Astrid informed him, "I don't think anyone's going to really buy National Root Beer Soup Day, sorry."

She had a feeling, though, that her thoughts on the matter would do absolutely nothing to stop him from trying.

Friday - Serenity Cove

 With class done, and a few hours at the shop under his belt, Dwight headed out for the beach. He had been to the lighthouse before and had walks the beaches and wandered the docks already several times. Today he felt like a swim.

So Dwight had ended up at Serenity Cove, a small cooler and bag in hand.  After taking a few minutes to enjoy the scenery he headed into the water. The chilly salt water a shocking yet welcomed change from the high temps the day had brought. He might not last long in the chilly waters but he was going to enjoy it while he could.
