Groovy Tunes; Thursday [08/26].
Thursday, August 26th, 2021 05:48 amTisarwat had definitely been a resident of this island and a worker on this island long enough to know that random shipments of things you absolutely did not order yourself were not uncommon. She knew she didn't deal with it nearly as much as Summer over at Turtle & Canary, sure, and the random shipments that arrived at Groovy Tunes were almost always with a decidely musical bent, but sometimes, she just had to sort of baffle at what came in because were some of these actually musical instruments on Earth?
The case in point for that day was the literal case of strange, round things made to look like crude faces with long, straight tails that stared up at her from inside the box she'd tentatively opened. And upon inspecting one, she squeezed it cautiously, only to have it produce an odd, faintly electronic squeaking noise.
Tisarwat stared down at the little round psuedo-face staring back up at her from her hand. Squeezed it again. It's 'mouth' opened and squeaked at her again.
She promptly went to check the address label to make sure she hadn't accidentally gotten some sort of shipment of squeaky toys meant for dogs that was supposed to go to the animal shelter, and, confirming that it was meant to go here, looked at them again.
"This...can't be a real instrument," she decided.
Although now she desperately wondered if Breq had any particular opinions on the otamatone, and if everyone on Mercy of Kalr would hate her if she brought one with her on her next visit.
Groovy Tunes is open!
