Werecreatures. Of course it was
werecreatures. If Liliana didn't know better, she would assume that green behemoth from the Onakke civilization had found her and had sent more of his beasts after her. The information she'd learned from the Town Hall meeting today make that possibility seem less likely (those she wasn't
entirely ruling it out), which was...
Well, she wasn't sure if this were good news or bad. Not having it be one of her
many enemies was always a plus, but learning this was the kind of thing that just
happened around here was...disconcerting, to say the least.
Same with the fact that these beasts couldn't die. It
did mean she could blast the creatures with whatever spells she wished without having these townspeople coming to wring their hands at her
or with torches and pitchforks because she'd accidentally melted the flesh off of somebody's favorite uncle or whatever, but it was definitely frustrating to waste all that mana and not even get a good zombie panther out of it. :(
A slam hard enough to rattle the door came from the display window. Standing outside of it was a bear large enough to make her briefly reconsider the possibility that it
was the giant behemoth. Then it slammed its giant front paws against her shop window and she realized she didn't
care whether or not it was him, no one got to damage her shop but her! One of her zombies lurched forward, but Liliana stayed it with a gesture. "I've got it," she growled, striding to the door. A blast of purple energy wrenched the door open and another slammed into the--oh. There was a second one. Huh.
Unexpected.
Welp, too late now. Once more into the breach, her hands glowing as she drew upon her mana. "If this
is you, Garruk Wildspeaker, you're just as unimpressive here as you were back on Shandalar."
In the much-abused window was a beautiful chalice wrought from white marble. Give the proprietress a moment, and she would be back to assist you.
