Pixie Dust; Sunday [09/03].

Well, it would seem that Boc simply could not stop turning into a tree around here. It had happened again, and, clearly, he had no idea for how long he'd been a tree this time. All he knew was that he must have been scavenging in some very remote part of the preserve for his recent bout of dendrification to go unnoticed for so long. Or rather, perhaps it was simply that no one really cared enough to notice his absence.

A little of column A, a little of column B, he supposed, which was fine, because he didn't really know many people, anyway, and he was used to being unnoticed, whether as a demi-human or as a tree.

He was rather glad that, apparently, this foliage-related curse he had been stricken with could also reverse as flippantly as it started, meaning he didn't need help turning back, he just had to sit there and wait, and, eventually, he was back to himself again, and, after sort of getting his bearings, he hobbled his way back home to the clothing shop.

Where he was greeted by a relieved employee, a pile of clothes, and a surprise turn of events.

"There you are!" he said. "We were wondering where you'd gone, we thought maybe you just dipped out. That sort of happens a lot around here, you know. But you've got great timing, I was just about to call all these people to let them know that we lost our seamster, so there's no one to do these alterations, but now I don't have to! Happy Sunday to me!"

Boc blinked at his employee for a good, long moment, as those words and their meaning processed in his head, and, once they did, his eyes widened as they started to fill up with tears. Gingerly, he reached out to feel the sleeve of a shirt on the pile of clothes that had been waiting for him, rubbing it gently between his long fingers, and then he looked up at the employee.

"You mean you...noticed? That I was gone?"

"Well, yeah," said the employee. "You're the boss; of course we'd notice."

It was probably going to be a while, before Boc was able to fully recover from this startling and unbelievable and quite frankly incredible news. He didn't think he'd ever really been missed before, except perhaps by his dear old mum, and so this? Was kind of a lot to handle.

The Perk, Sunday

Tomorrow classes started, and Jon was looking forward to it, but you could never be too prepared, so he was going over his materials again.

At the Perk, because...look, with the office he was in at the school and the former occupant that seemed to like to pop in from time to time, Jon just wasn't comfortable there. And if he sat in his flat, he could just picture Summer's disappointed face.

So, fine. He was here, settled in with an Earl Grey latte, a laptop, and entirely too many papers for a proper millennial, but paper was soothing, damn it!

He was absolutely interruptible if anyone wanted to talk.
