After the whole wild adventure on Innistrad followed immediately by being a horse for a day, Prompto was really hoping for just a quiet day at work, but he knew that was going to be a pretty big ask. Still, it was Groundhog's Day, right? Which was kind of a silly holiday, if you asked him, but groundhogs were adorable, and as long as Apu didn't try to turn it into a whole whack-a-mole situation, things should be pretty chill and fine, right?

Well, wrong, because apparently Groundhog's Day was too mainstream, and Apu was going to be a hipster about February 2nd and celebrate National Ukulele Day instead.

Great.

For the most part, Prompto was taking advantage of having some earbuds with him so he could just listen to something else, but he took them out when helping customers, and it was then that he realized that not only was Apu celebrating National Ukulele Day, but he was also...

"....Is he....making a YouTube apology video right now?" Prompto asked the cheese panda, who just shook his head, shrugged, and slouched off to go organize his brie.

Well, at least it was distracting him from thinking way too much about Wednesday.

Clearly inspired by yesterday, Graham had been struck with inspiration after leaving the radio station to head over to work, and not in the usual way, which was that things said in the notes had made him hungry so he needed to pick up a few things for breakfast one the way. He still did need to pick up something (he would not be able to stop thinking about burgers until he got some!), but, once he got to the store and got things situated for the day, he pulled out a notebook and a quill and laid it out on the counter so that he could get to writing.

Because how cool would it be to have a campaign where all the characters were actually horses? And maybe they had to learn some sort of important lesson about....well, friendship, of course! And possibly magic! Definitely magic! And he knew that he probably couldn't squeeze in a campaign with the Tournament of Knights looming so closely on the horizon, but perhaps he could still, at the very least, use the idea for his writing class? Epic equestrian exploits, as only Dayve R. R. Abraham could bring to the table!

This was gonna be great!

Watts’s day had started off with a phone call from the Bee Lady. Something about one of the Portalocity gnomes stealing one of her garden gnomes. To be honest, Watts wasn’t entirely sure he wanted more details.

Hence why he was sending Calvin out to investigate while he stayed back and… did a little more research into a personal project.

Fire station, Friday

Travis arrived at work today wearing his turnout jacket, his boots, and an ill-fitting but luxurious pair of silk pajama pants.

His pony outfit didn’t have pants, okay? And he and Eliot weren’t quite the same size. And that was all the thinking he was going to do about the fact that he’d spent the night (and most of the afternoon before it) with Eliot at his place.

Well. Other than maybe planning to hit the man up the next time he felt like having a random hook-up.

The goose was waiting for Travis in the lobby when he arrived. Travis took one look at it, said “Absolutely not”, and went to go change.

The goose went off to sulk. The rest of Travis’s shift promised to be delightfully normal. Or, you know. As normal as anything got in a town where your walk of shame included “not thinking about the fact we were both ponies until shortly before sunrise.”
