Yes, yes, they had coffee at home. Perfectly good coffee.

What Watts did not have at home was an office. He had one at the Trooper Station, sure, but it seemed a bit odd to go in specifically with the purpose of conducting personal business, so instead he was here, at the Perk, with a mocha and a muffin and a ridiculous number of brochures and other papers spread across the table while he made notes on what may have once been a sheet of looseleaf but was now roughly half a sheet of looseleaf.

When Miguel got to work this morning, they weren't that busy. Which was probably good, as the staff were all in the back cooing over puppy and kitten pictures on each other's phones. They tried to show Miguel, and he shrugged. "They get less cute once they eat your shoes."

Apparently that made him a killjoy.

"You do that, I'll work," he told them.

Well, apparently Graham had gotten some kind of great news, news so good that it somehow even trumped the 'I successfully stood up for myself to a flamingo today' merit badge she'd earned. (Yes, she was aware that that wasn't actually the flex she was trying to make it into. But also, she was getting bullied by birds, just let her have this, okay?) Which meant the only possible thing to do was to celebrate with ice cream!

Even in this sudden cold snap, yes. Look, there were some things too important to let crappy weather interfere with, okay?

She was also gonna send off a quick Hanging out at CB with Graham! text to the group chat, so more people might decide to come join them and also get to hear Graham's good news.

Tino was giving Jane exaggerated shocked and confused looks about her coming into the bar to set up for the evening. Because he was Tino and not at all for any other reason. Really

"Okay, okay. So maybe I've been busy," she sighed, hauling one of the kegs that he'd been ignoring down to where it needed to go.
