There was a month to go, but even so Steven had Valentine's day on his mind. In this particular case because it was better to tee up exhibits based on the calendar with plenty of time for people to enjoy them.

Which was why Steven was at his spot behind the Welcome Desk doing research into displays about mating and courtship that could be set up around the museum once the holiday got closer.

He was interruptible for any visitors, of course.

Stewart liked this job because, for the most part, he didn't really have to actually do much. It had really just been an easy excuse for listening to and playing around with music and equipment all day. But every so often, something would happen to remind him that it wasn't all just relaxing and remixes.

Like trying to figure out what they were going to do with a shipment of literally thousands of teeny tiny harmonicas.

He squinted at them suspiciously for a good long while before something hit him, and, after a quick jaunt over to the T&C for supplies (mostly super glue), he hunched over them spread over the counter and got to work on what could only be secreted as some sort of super-mini-harmonica harmonica monolith.

Boc had been busy that morning dressing up the window display with snowy cotton and snowflakes and similarly white items to really feature his latest creation proudly.

His inspiration had really been sparked by a delivery of tiny white bow that he had no idea what to really do with until he also received a shipment of woefully incomplete and ripped satin gloves.

He really was a problem solver in the right context, that Boc.

You know, Steph was used to ordering food and getting way more than she'd asked for around here. Having the same thing happen to an order of miniature paints from an off-island supplier? That was new.

"Half of these are just going to go dry before they even make it to the shelf," she said out loud to a sympathetic Little Bot, one hand beneath her beanie and dug into her hair as she stared at the entire pallet's worth of tiny paint pots. "Unless someone wants to paint something really big but torture themself in the process?"

Which, hey, it could happen.

She didn't put "While supplies last" on there, because she didn't want the universe taking that as a challenge.

Thor was unsurprised (but honestly a little disappointed) to find the ice bar gone from Caritas by Thursday evening. He supposed more moderate temperatures suited the tradition of Shirtless Thursday better, but maybe those who didn't want to go shirtless in ice bar-sustaining temperatures were just cowards. He was just saying. At any rate, he was here, and, of course, shirtless.

He had taken the weather into consideration when settling on a special for the night.

While the weather continued to be not, it must be said, perhaps the most conducive to eating ice cream, a sweet treat was always welcome, in Lydia's opinion!

She did hope the other members of Supper Club had remembered to eat an actual meal first this week, although if they wanted to have ice cream for supper that was no skin off her nose. For her own part, she had discovered the tiny sample spoons shortly after her arrival and was now intent upon trying everything. For science, or something.

Adrian was delighted by the appearance of new plants in the store and spent a sizeable portion of his shift going around and familiarizing himself with each one: checking the soil moisture, looking for browning leaves, etc etc. Not that he thought that any plant that Pam was taking care of would be wanting in care and attention, but it was an important part of getting to know a plant.

Sure, sure, he had new stock to set out and he was definitely going to get on that...but plants!

It was turning out to be quite a busy admin day for Liz when she got to her computer that morning. It had initially started out with just a few emails but then the emails kept coming, so it was keeping her quite occupied that morning between responding to the emails and keeping up with her monthly spreadsheets.

Not being much of a morning person, Watts very rarely caught the actual live radio broadcasts of the previous day's news, and so relied on the digital recordings. Only sometimes, he fell behind in listening to those, even. So every once and a while, he'd find himself with several broadcasts to listen to all at once in order to feel fully caught up, and what better time to do that than while at work?

Last Friday's broadcast in particular had him breaking out the google in order to look up a few things. "Hmmm," he said to himself as he clicked on yet another Wikipedia article. "Interesting."
