On the one hand, Eleanor was still here. Luma hadn't shown up to graduation to make a big fuss about her going home, which meant that she'd at least have the summer to work up a plan to put off facing her familial duties longer, to maybe work on some college stuff first and then go home.

On the other hand, Luma hadn't shown up to graduation at all, and even though there was a great deal of relief in that, Eleanor also couldn't help but feel a little hurt about it. She knew Luma had at least gotten this letter--their grandmother couldn't have possibly have kept the letter from getting to her like she had in the past....could she? Persephone's ghost could have meddled with it, but was her ghost even still around? Or had it, like Arthur, been released with the burning of their home?

There were plenty of questions that Eleanor didn't have the answer to, but they weren't really questions she wanted the answer to now. She was just going to take comfort in the fact that she was still here, and focus on pouring over her potential schedule for the summer to figure out if she needed to adjust her work schedule a little bit with the new classes she wanted to take.

Prompto was greeted with a confetti-like shower of buttons when he walked in through the door, except the nice thing about confetti was that it was, you know, not hard like buttons were and so he was just going to give a very disapproving look at Apu because not cool, bro. He bruised easily!

But that wasn't all! The button greeting was due to it apparently being Hooray for Buttons Day! So if you needed buttons, Turtle & Canary had them! And marked down, too! It was a Button Bonanza! Also, did you have buttons on your clothes? It was an additional percentage off of your purchase that day for every button you had.

"So not only are you assaulting me with buttons today," Prompto complained, "but now you're also making me do math??"

Way to make Prompto question every attempt to ever try to make friends with you, Apu!

So.

Wakanda had made itself public. You know, in a sense: the world had always known about the country, but know it also knew the truth about Wakanda's resources and their advanced technology.

Bucky was flicking through the coverage on his phone, his coffee and half-eaten donut sitting idle on the table in front of him. Analysis after analysis - on how Wakanda had stayed hidden for so long, on how things would shift on the world stage as a result - were being published in quick succession, all around the globe.

It was... a lot.

Mainly because it was a lot of attention on a nation that Bucky had been sort of hiding with for a lot of the past year. It didn't seem like this was going to affect his status any, but he would've been lying if he'd claimed it didn't set him on edge at least a little bit. After all, feeling like he was about to be found out was something he'd grown very accustomed to over the last handful of years. There had been solace in Wakanda, the same there was in Fandom, and now that felt like it was slipping away.

(Like it always did.)

With a quiet sigh, he set his phone down, and scratched the back of his head, and looked out the window, and wondered what it would take for Fandom to get the spotlight the same way.

At least that would've led to a lot more direct chaos.
