She was greeted with confetti and cake when she came in that day, and any and all redheads would be receiving discounts that day, and anyone not of a natural ginger distinction could still get those discounts by heaping copious amounts of praise onto the store's own brilliant flame-haired manager.

His idea! Not hers! But she didn't think anyone would believe her if she said that so she didn't even bother with the distinction.

Another week, another exciting book find!

A book of Kamigawan script, Liliana knew just enough to begin to puzzle through it--which was enough to get the gist of it. It was not an artifact - at least, she didn't think so, but instead, a book of Kamigawan poetry.

Seeing the moonlight
spilling down
through these trees,
my heart fills to the brim
with autumn.

How sad,
to think I will end
as only
a pale green mist
drifting the far fields.

Reading a little further, becoming ever more fluent with every stanza, she realized that it was actually a book of Kamigawan love poetry.

Did he appear
Because I fell asleep
Thinking of him?
If only I’d known I was dreaming
I’d never have awakened.

No, wait, this was a book of Kamigawan erotic love poetry. Thoroughly engrossed, Liliana curled up in her chair, in dire need of chocolate or sweet fruits or something as she read.

Sure, Prompto said he might try to help out with some of those end-of-the-month reports that seemed to never end for Liz, but he had a photography gig that weekend and had gotten really excited taking all these shots of the wedding he was hired for (curse his hopelessly romantic heart!), and so he had a lot of pictures he needed to sort through and touch up to send to the newlyweds that was taking all of his time and attention.

It didn't help that he did tend to get hyperfocused on stuff like this, and would definitely be feeling it later tonight when he realized that spending hours on end hunched over a computer pointing and clicking through a camera roll was going to cause havoc on his back.

And worst of all, he wouldn't even be able to use that to convince Gladio to let him off of training, either! Life was so unfair.

Pizza Planet, Monday

"Aren't you excited?" Raiden asked his staff today. "It's the start of the summer! Grilling season! Fresh produce! Ice cream!" There were probably other summery delights out there, too, but those were the most important ones to him.

The staff of Pizza Planet might have been more excited if they didn't have to work today, but that was how the cookie crumbled. Or how the pizza...no, don't be silly, pizzas didn't crumble unless you made them super wrong.

Steve came into the office still dressed in his dress blues (even if they were white), fresh from a ceremony at the Naval Academy commemorating lost alumni.

He glanced at the clock--he'd change before going to his ridiculous class--and then cursed silently to himself. He'd forgotten to do the damn egg homework.

"Hey guys," he called to the Troopers, who were coming down with a sudden case of deafness. "I need you to hold some eggs for me."

The Trooper Station was open. Do you want to hold an egg?

Tiny was celebrating the first weekend of summer by wearing eye-searing board shorts--no shirt--and sunglasses inside.

"Well, I can hardly tell you to put something on," said an equally shirtless Eric, "but no flipflops behind the bar. It's a safety violation."

Probably. He hadn't checked, but he really didn't want to see Tiny's toes.

Much like last week, once Vi had gotten the store set up, she started working on her homework for Anakin's class.

Which at this point looked a lot like arranging various minis on top of Little Bot while carefully attaching the contents of several large bags worth of leftover mini Easter eggs.

If all else failed, this was going to be delicious.
