Vala had snuck out of the dorms as soon as she realized she might hold the key to fixing Jack's memory problem. She had considered waking him up -- after all, she knew where he was sleeping -- but that seemed premature.

Trudging alone across the park, she walked right up to the big blue box (that definitely didn't look like it had room to house one person, let alone five or six!) and knocked on the door. Hard.

Michael was still upset over the events from yesterday. Still, he was glad Tobias was somewhere safe now, and not out in the cold and inclement weather. And glad that Tobias knew he could trust Michael. With a sigh, Michael turned the sign from "closed" to "open" and waited for customers to arrive.

After making her delivery to Chaucer's, Kiki heads to Aziraphale's. It's earlier than usual for her to be opening the shop, and inside the place is dark and quiet, the fire smoldering as a quiet lump of glowing coals in the hearth. She adds a few logs of wood from the hopper and the fire jumps up cheerfully in a way that indicates either a supernatural force or a decent treatment of lighter fluid. Ducking into the kitchen, Kiki brings out scones, tea, and cocoa, and she turns on a few lamps on low before finally turning the sign to "open."

Lastly, Kiki ignores the ledger book and the stacks of books she probably aught to shelve but just look so much more cozy piled about where they are, and, taking a key from the chain around her neck, opens the wooden cabinet of books Aziraphale keeps under lock and key.

Jiji gives a worried meow.

"I know," Kiki whispers. "I should wait for Mr. Aziraphale," she looks over her shoulder towards the stairs. "But he'll be down in a matter of minutes, I'm sure."

Kiki's fingertips skim over the spines of the books as she reads their names to herself. She finds the section she's looking for, and shudders, rapidly passing over the book entitled The Necronomicon. She pauses, and selects an old text named, Spiritus: On the Art and Practicality of the Nature of Mortal Dealings with the Unfleshed Deceased. She pulls the book off the shelf resolutely, closing and locking the cabinet securely, and sits, half-hidden from view, in the big armchair by the fireplace. The book is open on her lap and she is leaning over it, reading it intently, her face very grave. Jiji is perched on the arm of the chair, his large yellow eyes fixed on the page as he reads it over his mistress' shoulder.

The only noise in the shop is the quiet crackling of the fire and the occasional rustle of paper as Kiki turns over a page.

((Anyone may come into the shop, as it is open, but Kiki is waiting in particular for John & also Phale, if available))

EDIT: Store is now CLOSED for the John Connor Seance.

Red's is Open

Working from home on townie affairs, Red finished his email to Han and hit send, making sure to cc Gladys with Han's request. He knew she would handle the rest.

He pulled out the recipe he printed yesterday from the internet and started to read it carefully to make sure he understood how to make wassail. The bags holding the spices and ingredients smelled wonderful and already was beginning to fill the shop. Red was rather excited to be trying something new.

The crockpot, on the other hand, he wasn't so sure about, so he opened the box and pulled out the instructions to familarize himself with the workings.

Do not use in the bathtub or submerse while still plugged in to an electrical outlet.

Red blinked.

Did people really do that?

Tonks has solved her boredom problem at last. Feel free, however, to ask her what exactly she's doing with several hundred tan and green plastic army men, each an inch or so high, in the shoppe.

It's Solstice season, and Salmoneus is feeling the spirit.

Early this morning Hermes stopped by to bring him the very large package he'd ordered. Even now the contents of the said package were strewn about through the bank. There are boughs of holly around, and the cheery scent of spiced apple cider permeates the place.

Even Fluffy the Harpy seems in the spirit as she reclines near the doorway to the vault room. She's wearing a red bow around her neck and happily shredding the packing material that came in the big package. Salmoneus sighs when he looks at her, but just shakes his head and smiles.

"So, what do you think, the red one for Michael? Or the blue one?" He holds up an item in each hand and asks the question of Fluffy. Fluffy looks back, a piece of wool still dangling out of her mouth. Her head tilts one way, then the other. Finally she blinks at him.

"Yeah, I thought the red too. The blue one can go to Red." He thinks about it. "Or the red one for Red? That would be appropriate, wouldn't it?" Looking down her nose at him, Fluffy obviously doesn't think much of that. "Okay, okay. Blue for Red, and red for Michael." He nods and sets the items aside to write the tags.

[ooc: come pick up a present from Sal!]

Paige is sitting at a table sipping a latte, surrounded my papers, she's also singing something very quietly. Everytime an NPC walks in see turns around to see who it is.

((ooc-she's waiting for Harkness, use for you're own purposes as always))

"Whoa, whoa, it's only rock and roll but I like it . . ." Jack is in a bouncy good mood as he perches precariously on a ladder, stringing up lights all over the outside of the shop. So the song wasn't quite Christmassy, but he moved right into 'O Little Town of Bethlehem', albeit to the tune of 'House of the Rising Sun'. The weather had grounded the plane for now, but the shop was still open for all your random equipment needs.

Lorne opens the bar and makes sure the new drummer's foot is stuck on correctly and makes sure that the piano player's fingers don't need any new duct tape.

The music plays.
The lounge is ready.
Come on down and get your groove on.

Chewbacca looks oddly distracted tonight as he opens the pub.

But the sign is on and depressing Christmas music is wafting through, encouraging people to drink more.

Yet another re-run of Forensic Criminal Scientists, so CJ left Ten to shake off the Nyquil and beer cocktail he'd had in the teachers lounge and she headed out to get some tea. Tea makes everything better according to Mr. Phale and Ten, and they hadn't been wrong yet. She had her phone on the table in front of her...you know...just in case.

She sat down with a large cup of Lady Grey, and flipped through the new Neiman Marcus Holiday Catalog before pulling out a pen and some stationary from her attache.
