Tuesday Morning

Taking a large cup of coffee and her brand new very old copy of Neruda's Cien sonetos de amor/One Hundred Love Sonnets outside, she sits in a chair beside the TARDIS in the park, watching the sunrise. She also has a tablet and a pencil, and occasionally she jots down thoughts and memories as they gradually return to her...jumbled and out of context. She watches the people out for their morning...whatever it is they do here...sipping her coffee and reading.

[[do I really need to put 'open for interaction'?]]

Alanna had pulled back her boy-short hair back with a bit of ribbon, grabbed the bag she had packed last night and a sleeping Faithful, and set off for the park to meet Angela. The spell had been in her book, and another version for things that were "alive". It was times like these that Alanna could finally understand what her twin found so fascinating about the Gift.

There is a man on crutches wandering the town. He's hunched over his crutches, moving with his head down as if he's looking at the ground to avoid hitting any rocks or dips in the landscape.

He walks the streets, afraid to stop moving, because if he stops moving he'll remember it all again. As long as he's moving, he's concentrating on his steps, counting each one because counting has always been an effective distraction technique for him.

Maybe he's over reacting. Maybe he shouldn't care. But he does, and he doesn't know how to process all the thoughs and feelings swirling inside him. Because sometimes, love isn't enough. Sometimes, love is too much. Sometimes loving the one you love is the fastest way to destroy everything that ever meant anything.

He found himself in the park, his legs screaming form the chill. He should go home. He knew he should go back to the warmth and the mess of the apartment, but he...couldn't. So he dropped onto a bench, crutches clattering to the ground, hands over his face.

[OOC: Mun must go AFK for a bit, Anyone in the park is welcome to notice/tag House. He's in a very dark place, though, so be warned he will not be nice. Slowtime till later this afternoon] Am back

"KAWALSKY!!" O'Malley shouted at the armoured door and hit it as hard as he could, creating yet another dent but not breaking through it. He could hear Allison laughing in the back of his mind.

"She lied! The bitch tricked us! Her and Santa!"

Benedict, the duck formely known as bratty duck with teeth, would have rolled his eyes, if ducks rolled their eyes. Instead, it gave O'Malley a 'duh' look, which ducks are actually pretty good at.

"Who knew she'd ever get to bribe the powers above!" O'Malley was pissed off. Beyond pissed off. He definitely wasn't going to get any plasma grenades now, but he didn't need them if he wanted to choke Santa with his own beard.

After a long drive through the night and into the morning, during which he didn't sleep much, Michael opens the shop. He figures there won't be a whole lot of customers today, and he, Ben, their son and future daughter-in-law are still catching up on chit-chat.

The music is hopping as Lorne opens the doors to Caritas

Apparently the new air freshener has given the Zombie band some extra pep.

[OOC: Going AFK until 10:00 EST. Feel free to drop by before or after.]

Spike's Pub: Open

Spike unlocks the doors to the pub and tosses up a "Help Wanted" sign.

He then goes back to the bar and ignores any patrons until around 10:00 EST that might come in, letting the NPC Bartender take care of any patrons.

Jarod and the still-unnamed-kitten whom he'd taken to calling "M" (since she seemed to react better to names with that letter) were sitting behind the desk. Christmas had been quiet, but that suited him well. He did miss Parker, though, and hoped she was having a good time in the Bahamas with her father.

He slid a picture of a beautiful red-headed woman out of the manila envelope. "Mom." He wasn't sure how he was ever going to repay Sydney for this.

Upon reaching the end of the causeway leading to the small island of Fandom, Tommy saw the sign posted by the parking lot detailing the no-cars rule in town.

"Aww, man!" he scowled, found a parking spot, and hauled out his suitcase from the trunk. At least it was one of those ones with the wheels, because hauling that thing around would have been a pain in the ass otherwise.

With a sigh, he set out down the road, pulling his suitcase along behind him. Hopefully, he'd come across someone who knew what he was supposed to be doing or where he should go.

Having spent most of the past week doing nefarious deeds nothing, Zhaan settled back into the shop with a somewhat relaxed air. She'd moved on from Christmas music to vinyl albums, and liked the depth given to the sound.

A stick of something vaguely cherry and vanilla was burning, filling the shop with a sweet, pleasant smell.

Zhaan settled down with the laptop she'd bought and began investigating the online stock market.

[First the tooth, then Christmas, and now I have a cold. *cries* I can't frelling win.]
