It was entirely too gorgeous a day to spend time indoors, which is why Jack and Sam were currently enjoying an impromptu picnic in the park, featuring handwavy coffee from The Perk and snacks from J, GoB.

The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the ducks didn't seem to be harbouring any deep-seated resentment over their brief time as Meerkats.

It was just another beautiful day in Fandom.

[ooc: open for all your park needs, but Jack is here with Sam, so won't be interacting with anyone else.]

Lana manages to open the store on time, thanks to Bel's shimmering her there. It's been pretty quiet lately, so she should have time to think about the idea of pranking and what she might be able to pull off. If she decided to do something like that, of course. Which probably wasn't very likely without some other encouragement - or fellow pranksters...

Fred yawns lazily and stretches before falling back onto his pillow. He looks around his room as the sunlight drifts in throught the curtains. Fred glances over at his alarm clock and yelps--he's overslept! He jumps out of bed, pulls his workrobes over his head, runs down the stairs to the shop and throws open the door, once again, laying out the door mat.

[ooc: again, please say whether you step on or over the mat]

The theater? Actually open for once. Hey, some people have a holiday and might get bored.

Wonka finally emerged from his laboratory. The main bulk of the new summer candies was ready and it was time to put it into the shop.

First however, he hung the "HELP WANTED - enquire within" poster in the window, then turned the sign over to CLOSED, before gluing the new opening times onto the window of the door: Monday - Thursday. 10:00 am - 4 pm.

Then he began cleaning out all the shelves and tables, carrying the old stock into the back, where he carefully placed all the chocolates in boxes marked "Fandom Trooper Station". The gummis, hard candy and various others went into big baskets.

Having done that, it was time to display the new candy.

Wonka was particularly proud of the gumballs and their new tastes.

Maru and Moro were both sweeping the front porch of the shop.

Should anyone come, they would be more than happy to bring them inside. In the meantime, they continued to look busy and were probably humming a tune together.

It was a nice night. A very nice night. And Macbeth was bound and determined to appreciate it as he took advantage of another day free from workshops to take a leisurely stroll down the street.

It was the sort of nice, lazy night where one had nothing better to do than amuse oneself by trying to balance on the edge of the curb, and it was occupying Macbeth's otherwise preoccupied mind quite effectively. Every now and again, his focus would wander and his thoughts would drift, and he would trip off of the curb and onto the street.

It's a pity that he didn't see the open manhole, really. It's also a pity that he happened to trip just as he was passing by it.

With a 'shoomp' and an 'aaaaugh,' the meandering Scotsman suddenly vanished from sight.

{OOC: Open for all of your meandering-down-the-street needs, but Macbeth is beyond help, slurped away by the sewage system, as I'm vanishing from sight as well. I'll be moving in half an hour, and I'm not entirely certain how I'll be able to work out an internet connection when at last I reach my new home. Take care, Fandom!}

Town Hall - Monday

Braca had heard rumours this morning about men with pasty legs in shorts. It disturbed him. If it was up to him, the whole administration at the town hall would walk around in a black and red leather uniform and there would never be such a thing as shorts.

Things have been pretty calm in the station as of late. Which is why the entire station is abuzz when rumours of the men in shorts reach the troopers. Someone raises the topic of a possible new clone armour with short leg plates. Luckily for Commander Appo, that's when the boxes of chocolate from Wonka's are delivered and soon all shorts thoughts are forgotten.

Jarod opened the bar a little late, rushing through set up after his date with Parker. The zombies grumbled about having to go through their tuning and warm-ups while people could come in, but Jarod promised them an extra serving of calf brains each and they seemed to settle down.

He spent the rest of the night reading up on canoes.
