Once again, Jane is laying under a tree by the duck pond.

No yelling this time, she seems pretty much dead to the world.

After exploring the town yesterday she pretty much decided this was some kind of dream, or maybe she was dead. She wasn't sure if this was Heaven or Hell though.

But she did manage to find another bottle or two in the saddlebags of what was probably her horse. (Had to be her horse, there were bottles of booze in the saddlebags.) The result of last nights saddlebag discovery are apparent to all passers by.

[[ooc: I dare any of you to poke her with a stick

Fred yawned, stretched and got out of bed, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes and preparing for another exciting day in the shop. He peered out the window, as it looked a bit paler than usual and saw that it was snowing outside!

"Odd weather for July," he mused. But then again, it had rained pudding in the past, so compared to that, snow in July really wasn't so unusual. He shrugged, pulled on his work robes, and went downstairs to open the shop.

[ooc: Fred's mun apologizes to all for not being around lately--family in town, new weetiny kitten, work, etc; it's been crazybusy. I shall be around much more now]

Lana opened the store on time, looking happy and content and a bit excited. Someone wandering in could probably catch her singing as she worked around the shop.

Of course, Rosette slept in. Sure, Virginia wasn't too far away from New York, but when you threw eighty years into the mix, it made for a long trip. Stepping up from the basement, she lets out a long, noisy, stretchy yawn, scratching at her stomach and smacking her lips a little. Wonder where a girl could get some good breakfast around here. The communion wafers and wine she'd found in storage probably wouldn't suffice. Well, maybe the wine. But it was probably just grape juice.

She drifted across the church, thinking how this was going to be the most boring job ever, and suddenly got splashed in the face with a stream of water. And quickly snapped into the realization that, oh, my God! The baptismal fount was still broken! After a minor scene of flailing and yelling and more flailing, Rosette grudgingly plops down before it with the materials she'd picked up yesterday and tries to fix it. Which leaves a very disgruntled and wet nun.

"If I knew this would happen, I wouldn't have bothered with a shower this morning," she mumbles, occationally interspersing her nonsensical grumblings with language that should probably never be used in a chuch.

[[Rosette's available for all your spiritual needs...or nonspiritual. Whatever. :) And now even posted properly, hoorah.]]

Edmund had a bad feeling. Baldrick had told him that he had "a cunning plan" to help him around the shop.

Apparently that meant taking on more help. No doubt some hapless dolt who would wish to be paid for taking up Edmund's precious time with stupid questions and requests for help.

As one might expect, Edmund was in a less than salutory mood, and opened the shop quite late as a result.

All and Sundries is open.

A black car was waiting for Lana when she arrived at the edge of Fandom. A uniformed airman snapped to attention and came over to take her bags before handing her into the back seat of the car.

"General Landry's compliments, ma'am," he said, then hesitated. "Ma'am? It seems to be snowing here."

Lana smiled a little wryly. "It's Fandom, Sergeant. Pretty much anything can happen here. Even snow in July."

He looked at her a little skeptically, "If you say so, ma'am." He glanced again at the snow and shook his head. "I don't think they'll believe this back at the base."

She smiled at him again. "Do you have a cell phone, Sergeant?"

His eyes widened, "I do, ma'am. Hadn't even thought of that. If you don't mind?"

They took a couple of pictures with both of their cell phones, then he handed her back into the car. "It won't take us long to reach our destination, ma'am. I know Colonel Sheppard is looking forward to your arrival."

"Colonel?"

"Yes, ma'am. He just got promoted to Lieutenant Colonel."

Lana blinked. This should be interesting.

The airman put the car in gear and Lana watched as Fandom receded behind her.

[OOC: Off for the weekend! Feel free to wave goodbye if you see her go.]

The band was playing, Tino was washing glasses, and GOB was practicing card tricks. Just another night at Caritas. Or was it? Yes. Yes, it was.

[OOC: I am home!]

Lucas opened Empire in the most uninteresting way humanly possible. It wasn't even interesting in its extreme uninterestingness.

Seriously.

Today's music is . . . somethin', he doesn't care. . . .

Can anybody say "ennui"?

[ooc: still at work, so SP is the name of the game.]

Alfred was extremely busy most the day packing and planning, so he let Wadsworth open up Cafe Fina.

[[No Alfred or Walter=no OCD. Have fun modding the blackmailing butler!]]
