Teddy was back under the counter, hiding from the nuns customers. But this time he had managed to get Emo to be his lookout in case someone came in.

He brought a flashlight from home so he could do his homework under the counter without killing his eyes. But was using it to make shadow puppets on the wall next to him more often than actually doing any work.

Sparky's is open and ready for business. As long as you aren't an evil nun

Lana opened the store on time and got everything ready to go. Then she settled down to get a little ahead on her studying as long as the store was quiet.

Wednesday has turned out to be a beautiful fall day and a gorgeous fall evening. Just a little while before dusk, a temporary movie screen is set up at one end of the park. There's a large grassy area in front of it, where movie-goers can spread out blankets or set up lawn chairs. Some people are already gathered, picnicing on the grass while the sun sets.

[OOC: The movie begins at dusk, and the screen will be removed afterwards. OCD threads will be have been set up for your movie-going use. Anyone who needs the park for other purposes will find that the outdoor cinema takes up only a portion of the park, with plenty of space available for non-movie needs. This is the first in a series, which will run every Wednesday until mid-November (barring an unexpectedly cold autumn).]

Chad really didn't have anything notable to do today. Just work. Or pretending to work. Or meditating on work (which was what that was, it was not falling asleep, really).

Classic rock mix today, with the occational spurt of dramatic classical overtures.

Cafe Fina, Wednesday

For reasons unknown to anyone, none of the staff of Cafe Fina showed up that day.

It was probably related to their honoring the Great Gravy Battle of '29.

Only the sushi chef came. The sushi chefs didn't participate in the Great Gravy Battle of '29. No gravy on sushi, ya see. Only soy sauce.

Regardless, for today only, Cafe Fina had been transformed into a sushi bar.

Rosette was reading a book of 11th Century religious texts from Russia (quiet; she was bored), sitting with her back leaned against Chrono's shoulder as he idly practised his organ playing. She was reading the story of the Virgin Mary's Dante-but-pre-Dante-esque visit to hell and was actually finding it pretty interesting. If not just downright hilarious.

"Hey, Chrono, lookit this!" She turned to him with a smile, pointing out a passage as she read it, " 'And the Virgin saw other women who were lying in fire and were devoured by various serpents, and Michael said: 'These are nuns from convents who sold their bodies for lechery, and therefore they are tormented.'"

"Looks like the early Russians had a Hooker-Nun Underground, too!"

[[ open for all your churchly needs; three guesses what I've been working on to make my post later than usual. ]]

[[ It's Serge A. Zenkovsky's editted collection she's reading from, if anyone's interested. HA ]]

Sam opened Caritas, waved to the zombies, reattached the requisite limbs (the drummer had a strange fondness for purple tape, but all was well otherwise in that regard, and it made a lovely choker), and then sat down with a pad of paper and a pen.

I, Samantha Carter, being of sound mind and body, write this, my last will and testament.

Not that she was nervous about Ethics class the next day or anything.
