Lana opened the bookstore on time, feeling more than a little sore after yesterday's run. she was glad it was almost the weekend.

Empire Records, 11/17 [Open]

Kaylee, like she does every Friday, opened Empire Records after class. This time, she was listening to classic rock. She had been more interested in it since this week's pop culture class.

Caritas, Friday Evening

Sam frowned as she looked out the door to Caritas. It was the middle of November. Where the heck was the snow? There was supposed to be snow. "Stupid sky."

She took her place behind the bar and began designing a snow machine. Not that it would work, but it was the point of the thing.

Evening

Some time after dark, a strange almost unnatural mist rolled across the causeway and spread across the island. At first everything was silent, but then from deep within the mist a sound could be heard. It was unclear at first, but if you listened carefully you might have heard... something.

"Ni."

And then things were quiet again, but there were people moving in the mist. And then there was another sound, more clear now.

"Ni."

And another.

"Ni!"

And another...

"NI!"

And... Oh, you get the picture. When the fog cleared again, there were Knights Who Say Ni all over town. No one knew where they had come from or what they were here for. Just that they said 'Ni' a lot.
