It was Monday, so Rosette was in the confessional book, fueled with a lot of coffee. She kept herself busy today with a sketchbook, drawing (poorly) lots of various different hats on herself. Her favourite was the really big one with the massive amounts of feathers, the kind ladies wore to the races. She always wanted to go to the races, but Sister Kate had deemed it yet another things that was improper for a nun. Rosette didn't understand what was so damn improper about something where ladies could wear such cool hats.

Chrono did his usual thing of tending to anyone who needed help, or directing them to the confessional should they need help.

[[ open for all your churchly needs; all Confessional threads are NFB; posted earlier than usual by semi-request from a certain someone who's under the silly impression that martial arts will be one day helpful against big frakkin' robots ]]

Lana got into work on time, but a little hung-over from indulging last night. She wasn't sure if she was glad Thanksgiving was this week or not. She was finding it hard to find a lot to be really thankful about.

It's time to do inventory.

Apu has done a bit of work getting the store in some semblance of order but it's just to much to be done a little at a time.

So now everything is scattered all over the store. Nothing is on the shelves right now, it's all on the floor.

Jane is about ready to hide in the freezer section.

All and Sundries is open.

Such as it is.

While some people might have found the Knights Who Say Ni funny, they had been a big disruption for the townies. Especially those living near the park who might have been woken up by random cries of 'Ni!'

The owner of Pizza Planet had received the brunt of it and that is why he'd gone to Stuff for Sale Sunday morning and had begged them to please make a shrubbery to get the knights to leave. Now, Stuff for Sale wasn't exactly selling shrubberies, they were turkey themed right now and apparently shrubberies weren't much of the rage over in Turkey either. When the Pizza Planet guy however came close to tears, the owner promised that he'd see what he could do.

That was why early this morning you could see several of the employees from Stuff for Sale and Pizza Planet band together as they pushed a shrubbery towards the knights.

The knights were very picky about it too. They took twenty minutes examening every square inch of the shrubbery before they decided that it was indeed a good shrubbery and they expecially loved the nice path that went from the new shrubbery to the one Phale gave them. The two level effect was very impressive. So when the lead knight planted the wee!shrubbery they received from Rosette, he declared it good and decided that they didn't need a champion to cut down a tree after all. Most trees in the park weren't that tall either way and would have been chopped down way too easily with a herring anyway.

Taking their shrubberies and their thermos of cold tea, the Knights Who Say Ni vacated the park and took their shrubberies across the causeway. And the town rejoiced.

((And the knights are gone. We hope you enjoyed it. Thank you to everyone who played with the knights. And a huge big thank you to the volunteers who jumped in this weekend to help. You are awesome.))

Braca watched something called football this weekend. Four hours later, the game ended and Braca was ever thankful for it.

Pansies. Braca hadn't needed padding when he was in battle. Pansies.

What Jaye is trying to do is sit down and be at least the slightest bit organized for once. She's got a notebook open and a pen, and is meaning to write down stuff she might need for this whole stupid Thanksgiving thing.

What she's actually doing is writing down possible excuses to give her family to explain her absence. Ones like There was a terrible accident are likely to make them show up here, and ones like I sprouted horns will probably get her taken out of school. So far she's leaning towards Finals were scheduled early, AT Thanksgiving, I know, it's insane, right? but it feels too lame to be believable.

Occasionally she'll look up at the little lion figurine looking all blank at her on the table. Yes, she brought it with her. Yes, she has a sickness.

[Open, especially for anyone who might want Thanksgiving invites.]

Chad opened Empire and settled in for a long day of completing daily tasks, selling music, working on homework, and occationally making little buildings out of CD cases. After a while, he had a nice little CD village going on, which became a CD town after not too long. He wished he had a little car he could push through the little streets, but, since he didn't, he worked on making it a CD metropolis.

Yes, he planned on putting all the CDs back by the end of his shift. Shush.

And, since he didn't have a little car, he listened to a lot of The Cars today.

Caritas was open, and Jarod was trying to figure out what to do for Thanksgiving. He'd missed it last year, camping out in the woods for the first time. Maybe he'd repeat the experience. God knew he didn't need to worry about keeping Parker happy anymore, and he didn't feel quite right celebrating a family holiday while his family was still so scattered.

Camping it was then.

He posted a sign:

What's a toddy and why is it better hot?

Wilson's day had taken him in one direction, while Aziraphale's had taken him in another. Not entirely unusual for the two of them but it just meant they were that much keener to make good time of the few hours they did get to enjoy together.

So, after a nice dinner of grilled cheese and soup, Wilson had suggested a game of soccer. Aziraphale had pointed out that the lobby was still recovering from their last game when Wilson pointed out that ... heeellloooo perfectly good park, full of leaves, just across the road.

They had bundled up, grabbed the soccer ball and with the boyish enthusiasm of two young men a hell of a lot younger than their combined age, they were now playing soccer, at night...in the park. At least, it started out as soccer, somewhere along the lines the added element of stuffing leaves down one another's shirts as they scrabbled for control of the ball became one of the rules.

Bonus points if you managed to shove your opponant into a handy pile of leaves on your way to making a goal!

[ooc: Open as a park likes to be open and Wilson and Phale's game of soccer is completely joinable if you happen to be out this evening and want some exercise!]
