Empire Records; Monday [ 01/29 ]

Chad was in the process of making a very impressive card castle on the counter today. It was definately one of those days where you don't do anything but menial things like building card castles, but you make sure that you at least do a good job with the menial things.

Today's music was his favourite mix, the one with classic rock intermingled with classic overtures.

Turtle & Canary - Monday

The store opened up a little later then usual.

Firstly, because the new sign changing the name of the store from "All & Sundries" to "Turtle and Canary" arrived and needed to be installed. (It lit up.)

And secondly, because Jane and Apu went to pick up the newly restore squishy machine... Or rather SquishyBot.

They set it up in it's corner and place the tubs of flavors next to it. A pair of big googly eyes open and look around. The machine sprouts arms, grabbing the flavors and filling itself up.

Apu is in heaven!

Agatha was putting the finishing touches on the Squishy machine. Of course, John was supposed to open the store today, but the lout was nowhere to be seen. Figures.

Lumiere had noticed that, at some point during the night, the boards over the kitchen door had been removed and then placed back up again differently. He wasn't going to be the one to point any theoretical fingers, but he had noticed that the sassy saucer had a little extra bounce in her step today, and he was certain that he heard one of the cooks humming 'Be Our Guest' through the re-secured door.
Just so long as their service remained stellar and the kitchen was still sanitary, he didn't much care one way or the other.

Jarod was back at the laptop, working on his continuing project, and anticipating a quiet night. Whether he would get one remained to be seen.

And then he saw the headline. "Mother of two dies in lab accident. Son leaves college to care for sister." Hmm. This required further investigation. He saved the document he'd been working on, and started searching the newspaper's archives, the coroner's report, and the police report. He'd make a list of theories and suspects when he got somewhere with paper.

Aiden stowed some pie in her office freezer last Tuesday.

She went back in hopes of a snack today, and found several frozen books and a pack of latex gloves instead. All of which are now thawing out over radiators around the room. She's not particularly thrilled about this.

ABIS is open, and Aiden is pouting.

Ever since Red had returned to the land of the inanimate, Leo had been practicing with him. He still couldn't talk without moving his lips, but he'd been getting pretty good at manipulating the puppet.

Currently Red was sitting on the counter, ready to scowl and berate any dope headed teenagers that came in.

This stupid cold kept trying to kick Cameron's ass. He'd cancelled a little too many of his shifts already however so he didn't dare calling in another sicky. So he was here, but trying to keep a low profile.
