Lana opened the bookstore, half-amused and half-concerned by the events of yesterday. It had been really amusing until the two boys had left the bar together - all but in each other's arms - and then she'd heard about them on the radio. She knew it was just Fandom weirdness, but it still was a little discomforting.

In any case she didn't have to deal with it now. She got everything out for the customers then curled up in a comfy chair to alternately read and study.

It was obvious that Gunther was up to something. Mary found half of her lobby blocked off by velvet ropes, and on other side of that, Gunther had pulled out the longest tables from the restaurant and laid them end to end. He was also working with a lot of gingerbread. When Mary tried to get a closer look, Gunther chased her away with a meat cleaver.

That's why Mary was doing most of the cooking today. Unfortunately, she wasn't as good a cook as Gunther.

Isabel opened the store on time, then called and left a message for someone she was pretty sure was flailing right about now. That taken care of, she decided to browse the store to see if she could find any last minute gifts.

Turtle had spent the first half hour of her shift after opening cleaning up the place. Apparently (confirmed when she went through the security dog's video footage) there had been an incident considering one Liz and one squirrel and the results were the mess she opened up to today. Holiday decorations back up with only minimal glitter spillage, Turtle made sure the "Now Hiring" sign was still in place and went back behind the counter.

Today's Squishy flavors: Gum, Mint, Grape Judas

Turtle & Canary is open.

George Michael stayed up way too late ordering Christmas gifts online. He had only ordered for Mary. He hoped she liked what he picked out for her cause it took him all night long figuring out what to order.

Anyway, he was feeling good about his decision and his mood was high as he came to work, only to start cussing and kicking at the red bows that were strewn all over the ground.

Eddie, it seemed, decided to have fun in plucking all the red bows off the stand.

"I think there is a seagull law here! I'm going to have you plucked and deep fried for dinner!"

...

"Maybe  not dinner for myself! But for someone! Uhg you stupid stupid bird!"

Did it smell like chicken noodle soup in here?

Well, yes.

Did it look a little . . . steamy in here?

Well, yes, that too.

Did Yitzhak appear to be irritated by these circumstances?

Well, duh.

But come on. Wouldn't you be irritated too if the kitchen staff decided it would be fun to make the storeroom into a chicken noodle sauna?

Luke's is open. And soupy.

Rikku was hyper. It was hard not to be. She was going home! Yunie said they'd found a dungeon! A dungeon full of brand-new fiends that would have all sorts of wonderful things for her to steal!

And of course spending break killing things would be awesome for her Zen.

She wondered if Deadpool would seriously get her a gun before she left. She had her Godhand, but it would be so so so great to have a new weapon to take fiend-hunting.

The Wellspring Arms was open, and behind the counter was a seriously bouncy Al Bhed girl.

After a few hours spent on cleaning her room, and totally not missing Kabu-chan at all, Ino had decided to wander down to town and have a tea. She just hadn't felt like staying in the dorms for some reason.

Tea wasn't what she'd gotten though. Ino wasn't quite sure how this had happened. She sipped at her drink dubiously, and made a face. Why did they have to ruin perfectly good drinks with caramel?

[Open~!]

Robin sprinted into the bar, sliding in behind the counter, and tried to pretend nothing was wrong.

Tino just gave her a look. He'd TOTALLY, TOTALLY had it open for awhile already.

[I AM SO SORRY. I randomly fell asleep for four hours. As a result I'll be up half the night, and I'm around sporadically because if I devote myself entirely to studying I'll have to kill myself.]
