Mary was just sleepwalking through her shift today. She still felt awful about how she couldn't tell George Michael how she felt about him yesterday. She sat at the front desk, flipping through pages of reports from the housekeeping and catering staffs without really looking at them.

Gunther took advantage of her muddled state of mind to submit a huge order for filet mignons, knowing full well that Mary avoided red meat.

George Michael came home late last night. He'd handwavily stopped off at the bar but didn't drink anything other than a couple of Coke's. He should have had a beer. Seriously. Hearing the radio wouldn't have mattered much if he'd been intoxicated.

As it was, he'd slipped into bed next to Mary but rolled onto his side and went to sleep. Or tried. Getting up this morning was awkward as she was getting ready for work too.

He sighed and opened up the stand. "I've made a huge mistake."

Almost the moment the Perk was opened for business, Kerrigan had appeared, hair unwashed and face covered in grease marks, face grafted with the edges of someone who hadn't slept in a while.

That washed away the moment she moved up to the counter, though-- ordering a coffee, she let tiredness slip away behind the vehement veneer of confidence and not-thinking-about-it she liked to call her Ghost mask.

Settling down at her usual table for her usual drink. Routine was good.

Leave it to a girl like Turtle Wexler to, after a week of being away, have the first thing she did when she got back to Fandom Island is go directly to the store. "You're still here!" she declared happily. "You didn't get blown up!" Promptly she put her arms against Turtle & Canary in as best a hug as one could manage when you were a little fifteen year old girl and it was a large building, and then she remembered that she was wearing the smart business suit that her parents had gotten her and Baba had fitted and she just as promptly stepped back. She smoothed out her jacket, brushed off her pants, squared her shoulders, and opened the shop.

She sighed happily as she settled behind the counter. "Oh, I missed you, store!"

Today's Squishy flavors: Banana, Red, Grape Judas

Turtle & Canary is open!

Joanna arrived to work late as usual and didn't bother setting anything up as her faithful and completely unappreciated manservant had already taken care of opening the course. Instead, she busied herself by standing in front of the floor to ceiling wall of mirrors she had installed inside the ticket booth.

"My god," she said. "My boobs are amazing." Even more impressive, since they were one of the few features she had not yet had cosmetically enhanced.

Oh, and there was a shiny new NOW HIRING sign hung up outside.

[OOC: The OCD is totally coming up!]

Joanna was determined to find where all the men on this island hung out. She knew they were there somewhere. Her maid had suggested trying the local bowling alley. Joanna didn't know such a thing existed on the island, but she had found it easily enough.

So there she was, smoking, smoking hot, and lobbing balls down the lane. She was actually quite good for a woman in heels. She was not, NOT, going to be caught dead in bowling shoes. And, seeing as how no one was really around, she was also allowing herself to enjoy it.

[ooc: Totally open!!!]
