The Park, Sunday late morning

Annette decided to go for a walk. Didn't matter that it was slightly cold; she needed the air and thought a nice, lazy walk this morning would do her good.

Things were not comfortable at home and the pressures her parents were putting on her, well more her dad than her mom, was stifling at best. Annette was confused and unsure and she hated that grounding. It left her with nothing but a headache as she tried to work it all out in her mind. Being at school had her avoiding them directly, but it didn't stop the phone calls and unnecessary barraging. If they weren't careful, upon graduation, she would leave entirely and go to school abroad. It is a thought that has crossed her mind once or twice. The holidays were meant to be fun, not bothersome...

...and the New Years party. She would be going to that alone. Not that there was anything wrong with that; she didn't mind, not really. It should be  a lot of fun and Annette hoped that Beauty did come and that Savannah was back in time...

...she was lost in thought as she walked along, her hands shoved into the pockets of her coat.

Luke's Diner; Sunday [ 12/30 ]

Well, back to the old grind. But A.J.'d kind of missed this place, he had to admit. He missed the counter, and the coffee maker, and the specials board and the kitchen boys. And he knew the kitchen boys missed him. All those insults and occasionally thrown utensils were just their way of saying they love him. Yup.

Figured that the one night Yitzhak felt the need to go to the bar, the dumb jock kid who usually opened it on Sunday nights wasn't there.

Tino was, though, and Yitzhak had plenty of practice into sauntering into an establishment like you owned the place or at least worked there. (Hey, it was the only way to get set up for a gig on time in some seedy dives. It even worked for free booze sometimes.) He breezed right on in, helped himself to a nice draft pint, and set up camp at the table closest to the stage, all ready to judge singing patrons like he was Simon freaking Cowell or something.

Please. He was way more fabulous than that guy.

Devil's Nest, Sunday Night 12/30

Kabuto opened the Devil's Nest as usual, seated behind the counter with a book and a notebook. There really wasn't anything for him to do, since the place was up to his standards of clean, and Musubi-baiting was always a bad idea.

Book Haven, Sunday

Anne was in a bit of a bother. It was not, as she was wont to call such monumentally disastrous occasions, a 'Jonah day,' but it was distressing nonetheless. Christmas back home in Avonlea had been wonderful, and she had returned to Fandom long enough to take care of a final few things; this was the source of the conundrum with which she now found herself confronted.

How did one inform one's employer that one's term of service must end in the modern world, anyhow?

This would be why, should anyone chance to venture into the store today, they would find Anne behind the counter, vigorously scribbling away at any one of countless drafts of the letter she was attempting to write.
