Showing up a bit early, Makoto--in his girl-guise, of course--went about the process of getting everything set up for the day. He was tired—having coffee in the evening had proved itself to be an awful idea since it had kept him up half the night and so he was definitely lacking sleep. Tidying the store helped wake him up a bit though and after debating with himself for a few minutes, Makoto snagged a few more of those quarters and headed for the video games.

It was a video game kind of day.

Joanna was on her mobile phone. She was talking to an art agent somewhere in Paris.

Luke's Diner; Sunday [ 02/17 ]

Ah, well. It had to happen eventually, right? Back to the real word after a oh-so-handwavily romantically successful and high-cuddle infused Valentine's Past Few Days. The kitchen boys were starting to get annoyed with A.J. spending so much time in the kitchen but he got so lonely up there by himself behind the counter.

But, after he attempted to help with making a pie to disastrous results (the kind that seemed almost inexplicable if you tried to think of the hows and whys), he resolutely just returned to his station and settled his boredom with lots and lots of sketching.

The special's board was rather geometric, today, of various different sized squares spread around it, some fitting into other, intercrossing, like a sharply disturbed and distorted checkerboard.

Doom was behind the counter, whistling a jaunty tune with some unfortunate mechanical reverb. The shelves were stocked, inventory had been taken, and he was wearing a nametag.

It said "Mister Doom." He had decided that "Doctor Doom" sounded too pretentious. "Mister Doom" sounded perfectly friendly, though.

There was also a sign on the counter that said "Behind his mask, Mister Doom is smiling!" It was written with a green glitter pen. Doom felt that the sparkly glitter in the ink helped get the point of happiness across.

Today's Squishy flavors: Smiles, High Five, Grape Peter

Mister Doom felt that Grape Judas was too negative.

Robin sniffled a bit when he got up this morning, and by the time he got to the store, he was sure of it. He had a cold. Hopefully it wouldn't get too bad. He had a box of tissues at hand, and was brewing some tea, just in case.

The Park, Sunday Afternoon

Mohinder had largely missed Valentine's day, and all its associated celebrations, by virtue of being holed up in his apartment. Which hadn't been a problem until this morning's attempt at breakfast consisted of crackers and mustard. A handwavey shopping trip had taken care of that, but in no hurry to return home, Mohinder found himself wandering amongst the greenery of the park.

Tucking hands into pockets Mohinder walked, pausing when he found a handy tree to lean back against.
