After disembarking from the ferry, Hoshi's first stop was the hotel so she could pick up Porthos. She was a little surprised to Gunther working alone. The chef was very happy to see her since he didn't want to take care of a dog and he was a little miffed that Miss Connell had gone off with her boyfriend on such short notice.

So even though Hoshi hadn't slept very well last night on the deck of the ferry, and she was still wearing her clothes from yesterday, she figured she might as well cover for her boss and stay at the front desk.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!

Let Hoshi tell you all about the Greek blokes.

She might as well put her newfound knowledge to good use.

Millie was in a particularly good mood today and could probably be found singing little temple songs as she worked around the store.

Lacey was in her grubbier clothes today due to the fact that she was busy painting a side wall of the diner. Not content to just paint it one color, she'd outlined a slightly insane pattern in masking tape. Every now and then she'd glance over at the specials board and sigh wistfully; she already missed A.J. and his artwork there.

Luke's is open, and growing slightly more pastel by the . . . hour.

[OOC: And while I'm not advertising it ICly yet, I do have a couple of open days one open day for employment should any of you be interested -- ping me via email so I can figure out schedules and stuff.]

Cassandra was quiet as she walked into the cafe today. Of course she was usually quiet so this didn't come as a shock to anyone. Today, though, the quiet was caused by a sense of distraction. Cassandra was thinking over the past two semesters. People she'd met, things she'd learned.

She was distracted enough that she sat down with a steaming cup of tea and forgot to put anything on the specials board. She was busy trying to take stock of her situation.

[There will be a block of time this afternoon where I'm at work, so potential sp warnings apply.]

The church smelled of coffee and donuts. Gabriel sat perched on a roof beam with a cup in his hand. Cat stared up at him, looking jealous, but that had nothing to do with the coffee. The beam was just too inaccessible for her.

[The church is open.]

Groovy Tunes, 5/08

Melody was a little melancholy as she opened Groovy Tunes for the last time for several months, if not forever. She'd had an awesome time running the record store, and she knew she would miss Fandom, even if it was time to get on the road again.

She swallowed the lump in her throat -- the cats weren't allowed to see Mommy cry -- and launched a vigorous game of chase-the-CD.

Groovy Tunes was open.

[OOC: Not Mel's last post, but if you need to say bye to her, this would be a good place to do it. And, in a shocking turn of events, OCD-free.]

...Geoffrey was not in a good mood. He was in the kind of mood that made him throttle business directors swans and chain himself to buildings and bake people into pies. He'd been painfully let down by someone who'd seemed to have such promise and now...

Ask for a banana at your own risk.

Cable was really starting to get the hang of this whole baby toys business. Or at least he was managing to pull off pretending pretty well, in his opinion. He stayed by the crib for a few more minutes that morning, then went to open up the store.

[ open! ]

Isabel opened the store completely and totally on time then sat down to look through one of the catalogs that had turned up in the mail. Within minutes she was laughing hysterically and wondering which outfit Tink would burn first if it ever turned up in the store.

He'd only *meant* to go into town long enough to pick up doughnuts from J,GoB. But on his way to the bakery, he'd been struck with inspiration regarding his latest project and the problem regarding power consumption, so instead he'd taken a detour to the junkyard and then Turtle & Canary to pick up a few parts, and *then* he'd headed to J,GoB. Which is why he's now sitting at a table with a box of doughnuts, his ever-present project sketchbook, and assorted mechanical parts that he's spread haphazardly across the table. He's either ignoring or totally oblivious to the annoyed looks from the bakery staff who seem to think this isn't the most appropriate of places to be working on such things. Knowing Bridge, it's probably the latter.

[ooc: expecting one, but otherwise open!]

Robin was really craving Pop Tarts. And try as she might, she couldn't locate any in the whole bar.

Seriously. What was wrong with the bar that they didn't have Pop Tarts, but they did have the most random liquors ever?

So it was up to her to make a drink that mimicked a Pop Tart.

[I'm around, but I'm actually posting this from a bar, so replies might be slow.]

Save for the occasional pause to brush away sand - he really should have thought ahead enough to bring a blanket, his jacket being much less effective - Mohinder was sitting high on the beach. His attention was lulled by the murmur of recorded Greek through earphones. Last Tuesday's visit off-island had been fun, but he wasn't a mnd-reader and he preferred to have a little idea as to what was going on around him.

Half-lying idly with the book he'd brought discarded at his side, Mohinder wasn't faring too well on the alertness front.

[Open in a beachlike way]
