Lacey occasionally wished she wasn't so nice (yes, she was in fact nice, thank you very much Oscar Leroy), since they were in France now and she'd agreed to let Ella take the day off to go on the field trip. She might've been pouting a bit as she wandered around the diner needlessly straightening out napkin holders and sugar packet trays.

Okay, let's be honest. She was pouting. She just wouldn't say she was. If you asked her, she was giving Serious Thought to the idea of changing the diner's water pitchers for something in a new and slightly more elegant style.

Brownies and cookies were on the table, tea and coffee were set out, the shelves were dusted, the books were straightened and, right on time, Liir opened the Book Haven before slipping into the back to grab a book.

Sora sat on the counter of the store flipping a single poker chip in his hand. He practiced the knuckle roll that he’d learned in Logan ’s class and then tried to add some tosses and flips in there as well.

…Dropping the chip nine times out of ten and then falling off the counter to catch it.

He wasn’t perfect and he knew it.

Today’s Squishy Flavors: Grape Judas, Red and Scotch Bonnet.

Sora might have thought that things needed to be spiced up a bit.

Café Fina - Friday 5/30

Kurogane was damn tired of all the fluffy type food that the café had been making. It was time for a change. He talked to the Cheese grater, who was really a much more reasonable fellow… person… thing… kitchen utensil than he would ever admit to acknowledging, and they agreed at least on a temporary menu change to suit Kurogane’s taste a little more. And probably freak out Fai a bit.

Rikku wasn't as bouncy as usual, at the Wellspring Arms. Sort of contemplative, today. Chewing on a lot of things.

Still watching the doors like a hawk, because she remembered what Cable said, before. Because she was still a Guardian, dammit.

Jolee was in a mood to clean tonight. The floor was spotless, the glasses were sparkling, and even a vampire could see their reflection in the bar - if they had an imagination and maybe one too many drinks.

Tino was thus being very careful about keeping things tidy. He'd never seen Jolee acting this OCD. He didn't know what might happen to him if he dared spill anything. He didn't want to know, either.

The end of the Causeway, early Friday morning

The bus was waiting at the end of the causeway to whisk the Fandomites away to mainland Normandy, and the driver was handing out itineraries to anyone who wanted one.

First stop: the town of Bayeux, and a chance to shop and sightsee. Afternoon would see the bus heading to the beach, where tours could be taken and memorials visited.

Once the sun began to set, the bus would head for the night markets at Caen, one last chance to shop and eat before returning to Fandom.
