Hoshi was dressed very casually when she showed up for work. She had taken advantage of the sunny, warm days and gone to the beach with Porthos before heading into town.

Apu was annoyed at Jamie's gall. Jamie had replaced his presence with a mannequin dressed like himself. He had also gone through the trouble of adding a tape player which was on a loop and announcing to the world: "Thank you! Come again!"

Apu glared at the mannequin and wonder how much trouble he'd get for burning the mannequin to the ground.

Nobody steals Apu's catchphrase.

[Please mod Apu today! Thank you!]

Millie opened the store cheerfully, leaving the doors open to let in the gentle breezes.

Today there were no Pez-flavored bricks. There was once again a Xander, and there were poles.

He picked one up off the ground and planted it in the dirt in front of him like he was claiming the park for England. Or Wales or whereverthehell his ancestors had actually invaded from. He pointed. "Not for dancing. For swinging -- after you make 'em into swings, otherwise you'd just fall on your ass."

He set the pole down and reached for one of the connecting pieces to show people how to put it all together, then paused. "Not that I'm gonna stop you if you want to dance. Whatever. Just wear a hardhat."

There were also hardhats.

Isabel had been very tempted to skip work today and go back out to explore island and spend time on the beach. But she didn't.

She just spent a lot of time at the door, enjoying the tropical breezes.

Cal figured it would be another slow day like all his other Thursdays have been, so, when he wasn't cleaning up for in the kitchen, he was going through his scenes in the play again, trying to keep everything Tennant had said in mind.

And then he remembered that he didn't really care, set it aside, and did something else for a bit. He eventually returned, though. Only so many time you can straighten a napkin holder, after all.

Geoffrey hadn't wanted to get a phone, but he needed one for things like this.

In between sips of scotch, he was looking through a catalogs for lighting supplies, make up, costume pieces, and a few other odds and ends that he'd need for making anything out of the theater. As the Internet was something that happened to other people, he was going to have to use the phone and more than likely the credit card he'd signed up for fraudulently to get them.

And maybe some lunch. That'd be nice.

Felonies aside, Geoffrey was around, should anyone want to come by.

Geoffrey wanted to be in his theater.

...but he also needed to buy things. Hence, he was at 'work'.

Robin was bored. Like, really really boring.

So, she decided to run a special.

TELL ME A JOKE
Make the bartender laugh, get a free drink!

Maybe that would help.

Cassandra looked oddly uncomfortable as she came into the cafe. This was mainly because she hadn't changed since class and was still wearing a bikini. She had her light shirt pulled tight around her to provide some cover, but it wasn't helping much. Her movements were quick, over-hurried as she wrote up the specials.

Today's Specials
Banana Split

She was hoping the sugar would help distract her.

In an attempt to avoid Caritas--with the way her moods had been lately she thought it wise. Drinking while troubled was never the way to go, she remembered that lesson well enough from old classmates and them stumbling in drunk the night before exams--

And then failing those exams the next day because they were hungover. She'd laughed at them then. Juli would rather like to be able to continue to laugh at them.

No, drinking wasn’t the solution to anything.

Rather, she had a strong cup of coffee, a slice of apple pie, and a book. Tucking herself into a chair where she could easily watch the street, Juli settled in for a few hours.
