Tony was on schedule. Despite a regrettable incident as a pony and a few visits to Steve's place... On schedule.

Of course, without Pepper around, this schedule might just exist in his head. But today he was working on something for the targeting systems. Non-lethal.

For the most part.

It was complicated.

[[OOC: Open business is open!]]

Luke's Diner, Sunday

Vala wasn't expecting much business, being as how all the new students and teachers were still in the getting-to-know-you phase of the proceedings, but that didn't stop her from taking extra time to set out flowers and make sure that everything was extra clean, in case anyone decided to stop in.

She'd even taken extra time with the specials board, which was particularly legible today, and written in different colors of chalk.

SPECIALS:

Mexican hot chocolate
Ziti and parmesan cheese frittata
Six-story fruit and yogurt parfait

After she'd gotten everything out and put together all nice and orderly for the little Sunday tea luncheon snacks she liked to have available on Sundays, Charlotte settled behind the computer at the desk and kept herself very busy with work. The work had nothing to do with the gallery itself or the current exhibit, though. She was very excitedly refining the little details of her workshop syllabus, especially now that she had a roster of sorts of students to expect. She wasn't sure she knew any of these kids yet but she was sure that they were all going to have a really fun (and informative!) time.

It was just all so exciting! As long as she kept the disastrous worse-case scenarios out of her head...

The York Gallery is open!

Roy was at the station today and after yesterday's lull, it seemed chillier again. Admittedly, some of the chill seemed to solely be in his head. Maybe seeing icebergs meant that your mind compensated for it and made you think it was colder than it was.

Really, he was just not in the mood to fill out the paperwork today and any distraction would be a good one. Well, almost any.

Atlas Gym, Sunday

Logan walked into the gym a little late today. He had been on the phone talking to Cyclops. Apparently he was needed out west. The X-Men were going to be going public about their new home base soon and Logan had to approve his new costume.

New costume. Again. It felt like clockwork; every six months, the X-Men changed their costumes. Logan was sick of it. He was going to take a stand this time. He was going to demand annoyingly intricate gloves. That would show Summers.

[OOC: Open for any Logany or gymly needs. And, yes, Wolverine's new gloves are stupid. Not as stupid as the giant gold X on his chest, but still stupid.]

What with all the icebergs floating around yesterday, it really wasn't all that surprising that one rather large one should hit the island and decide to stay for awhile.

It was huge and extremely solid, a floating island of ice caves and twisted natural sculpture, flat expanses and pockets of deep snow, that one could simply step onto and explore.

With one fewer employee, Jolee was taking Sundays back for himself. He liked Sundays. They were peaceful in a very specific way.

This Sunday was specifically peaceful in the way Tino was engaging in a silent protest about having to work with Jolee this many times a week. It was a relief to Jolee. Normally he couldn't get Tino to shut up.

Tino had also put Christmas lights around the "HELP WANTED" sign to make sure it stood out. Jolee didn't mind it since it still kept Tino from speaking.

[OOC: Still hiring for Mondays.

I should note a few things about Caritas for any new people:

1) It is a karaoke bar with a live band. Well, an undead band. They're zombies and they can play anything you want perfectly. Well, unless they have to sing. Singing with rotted vocal chords doesn't sound good. Mod whatever song you want/need.

2) Caritas does serve to minors due partially to the choice of a previous owner and the attitude of the current owner that if idiot kids decide to destroy their livers, it's their own choice.

3) There is a lounge area with tables and chairs and a nice view of the stage. This area seems to be primarily used for dates and such, when people just want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the bar.

4) Violence is not possible in Caritas due to a Sanctuary Spell. Any attempts at violence will result in the attacker being teleported out of the bar to a random spot on the island. Gentle slaps on the bar, respect knuckles, and light telekinetic shoves don't seem to trigger the Sanctuary Spell.

5) When it gets to be closing time, remember: every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.]
