Normally, Bridge might be a little bummed about missing out on the welcome picnic for the new kids. Today, though, he's somewhat preoccupied with making a list for the next time he talks to Isabel.

RIC, meanwhile, is trying to hold a conversation with JARVIS. Since the AI doesn't speak Cat and the robot dog doesn't speak English, it's... not going terribly well. Mostly because the AI is actually pretty much ignoring him.

Turtle & Canary; Saturday [ 06/05 ]

Although Turtle was a little bummed that her dedication to the store left her unavailable to network with the new kids, it did give her a chance to have a nice little sale that might bring them in here. Besides, she'll have plenty of time for networking later. She settled in behind the counter, took out some paper work to work on, and hoped for a good turn-out.

The Arms Hotel Lobby, Saturday

Hoshi would have rather been at the picnic today, but that meant leaving Gunther to run afternoon tea on his own while Miss Connell was out of town. And somehow, Hoshi didn't trust Gunther enough to do that.

Besides, she was claustrophobic anyway. Better to spend the day in the nice, airy, open lobby than at a picnic surrounded by lots of people. She definitely made sure to put up the help wanted sign before sitting down at the front desk with a book in Latin.

Informed that it was new arrivals day, Toby ditched work in hopes that he'd get to meet some interesting new people. And hopefully some lesbians.

Toby missed Van.

It was amazing to him that he'd been in Fandom for so long that there were now icebergs floating in the ocean.

He frowned confusedly, "That would so never happen in Dante's Cove."

Pizza Planet, Saturday

Jen was missing out on the welcome picnic, sure, but someone had to make sure it was supplied with plenty of pizza for the new kids, right?

That was why she was sitting on the counter, supervising. And under very clear instructions not to set foot in the kitchen and try to help. But she could live with that, really, and so she was making little model Zords out of the plasticware. Soon there might be a styrofoam-cup city for them to defend, too.

Kevin was bit late in opening up the gallery today. He had been so caught up in checking out the new students, he kind of forgot what day it was.

The exhibit hadn't changed from last week, and he still wasn't sure what it was about.

Kerrigan was entertaining the very real and comforting possibility of quitting her job. On one hand, running a workshop wasn't necessarily going to get her a full-time teaching job again-- and so much depended on the students' reactions.

On the other hand, she had Harriet on her side, and she still had no idea what to make of the boss. So, perhaps...

Kerrigan opened up the store late, and spent most of the day ambling through her thoughts. It was giving her a headache.

She didn't really feel like going to the picnic.

Fai wondered if, by opening the Cafe himself, he could force Kurogane to go check out the picnic event at the school.

Probably not.

Still, it was an entertaining thought, and kept a smile on the blond man's face as he put up the signs in the windows.

So what if he was drinking coffee in the evening? Is it really that strange?

After the picnic largely switched to the kids, Murdock wandered around and finally dropped in at the coffee shop. He was hoping he might run into a new teacher or possibly some old familiar ones.



(of course the hubby comes home and promptly passes out. *sigh* hi, I'm bored? :D and possibly I need a coffee/Murdock icon?)
