Lacey's day hadn't started off so well -- when you stumbled out of bed at disgusting o'clock in the morning (she'd been up half the night cursing the CBC Olympics website for not letting her watch streaming video from the U.S., and finally settled for watching NBC's late-night coverage only to discover she'd missed all the pretty, pretty swimmers) and headed for the bathroom to wash your face, only to end up in the duck pond in the park, then took every possible wrong-turn-that-should've-been-right to finally make it back to your apartment, much more awake but in much more desperate need of a shower, it wasn't an auspicious start to the day.

So cue the diner opening up an hour and a half later than usual, which was to say by the time Lacey, en route from her bedroom door to the front door, somehow ended up in the diner's storage closet, pounding on the door until the dishwasher finally made it to work and let her out.

She hadn't been lost. It had just been a creative detour.

Today's Specials

Luke's is open. You know. If you can find your way in.

[OOC: We are OCD-ified today, but as Project of Doom continues (*weep*) modding will be your best bet since I'll be slow slow slow.]

Sokka arrived at work late, because he'd spent an hour wandering around the island lost. He'd gone to work dozens of times before without EVER having a problem, and now... Really, it hadn't been until after he'd given up, thrown things, kicked up a fuss, and then turned around and tried to find his way back to the cabins that he ended up right in front of T&C. He was pretty grumpy as he settled behind the counter.

He'd expected some sort of lecture, or angry glares, or something, from Apu, but he was curiously silent about the lateness, and Sokka didn't want to press the issue. Apu, for his part, wasn't about to tell Sokka that he'd gotten lost coming down the stairs this morning.

There was also the problem of the third Squishy flavor. There were two flavors tumbling and freezing away, but the third one was hard to find. Oh, it was THERE, all right. Somewhere, it still existed. It was just lost.

Today's Squishy flavors: Red, Fish Chowder, Grape Judas

Today, the construction site was oddly quiet.

This was because so far, none of the contractors from NPC Construction had managed to find their way to said construction site.

There was just Xander, looking slightly confused, his clothes a little the worse for wear after tromping through the Preserve for half an hour before he finally decided to give up and head home... and ended up here.

"So, um. For anybody who actually made it to work today? Congratulations. Put up some drywall, don't touch the bulldozers, and you probably don't wanna head offsite for lunch. Unless you were looking for an excuse to slack off in the afternoon, in which case go for it. ...I should probably have used my inside voice for that, huh."

[OOC: Open!]

After several attempts to make it to the store, Worf eventually ended up at the door and managed to get the store open on time.

Hopefully the "getting lost" thing happened only outside as he did not want to deal with customers getting lost between the meditation room and the shooting range.

Wellspring is open.

For the life of her, Mary had no idea how she'd gotten lost in her own hotel. It took several tries to get from the presidential suite to the lobby. She kept finding herself on the wrong floor and one time, she even stepped out of the elevator to find herself outside the presidential suite again.

His days so far had been quiet, routine, and without note. Even with the strange things that happened on the island, Ender found he was simply bored. Work was one of his only distractions; it was where he learned.

Little things, but little things could add up to a lot. He set up without much fanfare in the morning, greeted Jarvis, and settled back in the corner with his computer. He made sure not to touch anything important, or anything alarming-- he knew Jarvis was watching, and most of it didn't seem interesting anyway.

He'd be there if anyone entered, but for now, he was engrossed in his own studies.

"Perhaps we should go on a holiday." Gabriel looked at Cat. He took a sip of his coffee. Cat yawned and went back to sleep.

Tink had had to pretend to teach today, and those days were always tiring. Molding young minds was exhausting, especially when one discovered one was completely out of absinthe.

So she zipped merrily along to her favorite place in the world, Caritas, because that was where absinthe lived when it wasn't staying at her place. And --

There was no bartender! Just that Tino guy! Excuse her?! How was she supposed to get drunk at this rate?! What a shoddy excuse for management this was! Why, why, she ought to ... ought to ...

... take the job herself, for the night, and use it to humiliate and mock anyone who came in attempting to get drinks! Refuse to serve anyone she didn't like! Guzzle everything in sight!

Caritas was open. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

(OOC: Faith's on vacay with Ghani and Renee. So ... Tink's running the bar. If you actually want liquor tonight, then either ( a ) prepare for some serious humiliation or ( b ) mod Tino ...)

Dick left his alcove to make his way to the bathroom when, before he knew it, he had arrived at The Perk. Fortunately they had restrooms. Unfortunately it took him ten minutes to find the men's room. (He had lost track of how many times he had inadvertently found the ladies' room in that time.)

After finally doing what he left his alcove to do, Dick decided to get a cup of coffee before trying to figure out what the hell he was doing all the way on the other side of the island and - more importantly - seeing how tricky it might be to get back.

[OOC: Open as coffee shops tend to be.

Originally I typed "Open for any of your Dick or coffee needs" but that just sounded wrong.]
