When you went out for a run every day around the same island, it was hard not to notice that streets suddenly went on a lot longer than they had a few days ago, and entire blocks in a completely different architectural style existed where they hadn't before.
Jen, who actually did remember how to be a good police officer most of the time, couldn't let that phenomenon go unexplored, of course, so she'd turned that morning run into a preliminary reconnaissance mission. Of sorts.
It was when she got to the port and realized that the island . . . had an empty warehouse district now. If Jen knew one thing for sure about the history of her world, it was that empty warehouse districts were a magnet for trouble. Trouble of the kind that had already
affected Fandom once, and it hadn't even
had a warehouse district then. Really, it was a tried and true trouble formula.
Which was why, after a run that ended up going at a much quicker pace than it usually did, Jen was back down in the new port district in full uniform with her visual scanners on, making a deliberate circuit of the streets. Just in case. You never knew.
Sure, there was the whole detail about how she didn't have a Zord any more, but she'd make that part up if it came to it.
[OOC: Because come on, like I could leave that one alone? Totally open, though SP-ish until I get home from work.]
