There were balloons on the ceiling.

Viki blinked idly up at them, wondering if she ought to do anything about that fact, and fiddled with her hair. Was it worth it, really? She couldn’t decide. They were cheerful at least—very pink—and she thought that might be alright to leave them where they were.

Once again, the market crew had gone in and set up booths all over the park, decorating them in cheerful ways and putting down seats for those who might be tired from browsing all the wares. It was a little chilly, so a lot of the booths were wrapped up a little more to shield from any wind that might make it worse. The Monthly Market was open again.

[ open for bizniz! ]

Hurley had actually had fun with the whole temporary shrinking thing last night, as well as meeting Agnes and Reno.

But this morning it was back to the wonderful world of retail. He put on a CD from a band that was not even formed back in his time.

The Foo Fighters.

Jen had woken up with a sore throat and a case of the sniffles that threatened to turn into a full-blown cold. And well, she couldn't have any of that, so she'd stopped handwavily on her way in to work and grabbed a couple of cartons of organic free range chicken broth.

In the year 3000, everything had been processed within an inch of its life to be as nutrient-rich as possible while still living up to certain presentation standards. When she'd been in Silver Hills, extreme budget constraints (read: trying to figure out how to make the money for one day of hauling trash or mowing lawns feed five people for a week) had ruled out anything but bouillon cubes for broth-related needs.

And so now that she'd heated up a mug of the broth in the Pizza Planet microwave, she was peering dubiously into it, wondering if it was supposed to be that cloudy-looking. Um.

No, seriously. Look, Jen hadn't been the one who came up with that one.

[OOC: Not at all inspired by my own mug of chicken broth right now, really. Really.]

Minsc was sure he wasn't the only one thinking that just because she was a tiny little bear thing, Rosie shouldn't neglect her business. She would just need a little extra help at the current moment, and Minsc would never think not to offer it. So, instead of the lovely horse leech, a berserker ranger was the main pair of hands at the Gig this Saturday, and he was exceptionally advantageous with doing little things here and there to help Rosie out.

And, when he wasn't doing those things, he was, to be honest, showing off a little, showing how he could tend to his own sword and armour at the anvil, and, when some NPC townperson came in with an ill cat, by healing it up right away with a little spell.

He just hoped that no one else came with a sick animal, because he could only heal once per day.

[[ Minsc is opening the Gig for Rosie today thanks to her being a little red panda, but both are still available! Info post on the Gig is here ]]

Ah, today was truly a day to give thanks to Ganesh! It was one of the days that Apu liked best, when Miss Turtle wasn't in the store at all because she was off and away and he could go about his business without her there in serving the customers and keeping the place tidy.

Turtle & Canary is open!

Robin was at the store bright and early, ready for his first day. His experience working at the Magic Box had prepared him for dealing with things on a scale larger than he, so he had no problem setting things up for opening.

Ooh! The new Supergrover was out!

Roy was a little bit bored. A little bit much. He was twirling his pen between his fingers, watching the light reflect on it. It was hypnotising than the file that laid open on his desk. One he should have been working on since it was a report about the island for the National Assembly.

The right words seemed to be escaping him today as he needed to make Fandom sound interesting enough while not sound like a threat. Stupid writer's block.

((Open, since the trooper station always is.))

Toby was late for work and less than happy after detention. He was also tired and smelled like dogs. It was completely unattractive and made him sad.

Still, he had a job to do, so he plopped on top of the counter with Cosmo and read about 10 Ways to Snag a Man.
