Eve passed on her trip through the exhibit in favor of making a really, really strong pot of coffee. It was just one of those days.

By the time she settled in behind the desk, she was in a much happier mood. Such was the miracle of caffeine.

[Wait for the OCD is up!]

Kaylee had a Project.

Having finished the cell phone thingamajiggie for Mr. Stark, she had been inspired earlier this week.

And so now she was making a present. Whether it would be a Christmas present or just a 'Hey, you're awesome and so is your dog!' present would really depend on how quick she finished it.

Viki was sleepy when she made it into work today. Opening the store, at least, was routine enough that she didn’t have to think too hard about it, and by the end of it was marginally more awake.

Marginally.

It was hard to perk up when you didn’t really want to. Sure, she was sleepy, but she was also quietly content to be so.

Hurley opened up shop, totally psyched to be here.

He still had very little idea about the flowers stuff. But he was learning, by gosh!

Meanwhile, he read a newspaper report, where it was said that the grain in Spain freights mainly on the trains.

Huh, weird little fact.

Okay, Ray did not listen to the radio much. Gossip. Kinda pointless, you know. But he'd been sorta listening last night, and okay, now maybe he felt Fraser was going to need...

Pizza, or something. A good hotdog. Nothing wrong with that.

Between taking yet more phone calls with random complaints (the fluctuating level of animals on island? What?) he was hence making plans for de-emoing a Mountie. Or something.

Ella had a craving for waffles as she entered the diner.

The nice thing about working around food was, you got what you wanted, and Ella was soon happily enjoying a second breakfast.

If she went for a third one, she'd get the kind with ice cream and call it dessert.

Luke's was open.

Specials
Belgian Waffles
Tex Mex Savory Waffles
Bittersweet Chocolate Waffles with Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Dor had arrived early for training with Sarah and had managed to get the store open without too much bungling.

Right now he was going back in forth between a conversation with the register about how it was supposed to work and a Y-Factor comic book who kept complaining loudly about how bad the art was inside its cover.

It was rare that Chad was alone when he opened the store; he almost always had Prince Oscar Pedro with him. This time, though, he had Prince Oscar Pedro and a much, much larger pet with him, too. No, not Teddy's freakishly large cat, but Jeff's freakishly large dog. Chad had jumped at the chance to take care of Nana over the weekend while he and Turtle went away to that wedding, and now, he was attempting to educate the dog on the punk movement of the late seventies. He would totally buy that Nana was a punk rocker.

Of course, this resulted mostly in Chad talking away to the dog and the dog drooling all over an annoyed Prince Oscar Pedro, but Chad didn't seem to notice.

Daisy pulled out a chair and had a seat at the table, draping her jacket over the back of the chair next to her; she wondered if this was one of those Mexican restaurants that would give the bowls of chips and salsa to munch on before the food arrived. She hoped so, because she wasn't sure there was enough on the table to keep Ray occupied in the wait period. She rather imagined an impressive sort of head explosion if he were to ever be restrained in a chair at an empty table for more than five minutes.

"Think they'll be able to hold the fort down while we're out for lunch?" she mused, reaching for a menu, which, she could swear, she could already feel all the grease in the food on as she touched it.

[[ Daisy's there with her co-worker, but the place is open for all your Mexican food lunch neeeeeeds *wants a taco salad so bad now, omg* ]]

Okay, so Rikku was usually a morning person. Peppy and cheery and didn't even need that boost of caffeine!

Today she was kinda not. She wasn't down or anything, just couldn't seem to wake up.

So Rikku was at work. Trying not to nap on the counter. That'd probably get her fired, right?

There was no sign of the girl who should be working in the hotel today, but there were a bunch of pink balloons floating around behind the desk where Mary would have been sitting.

[Ever seen a surge protector go up in smoke? I have, and my laptop was plugged into it at the time! Please mod your service today, as I have no idea when I'll get access again.]

The Gig, Friday

When Edmund arrived, he had his bag, sword and shield with him. He planned on leaving for Narnia this afternoon and wasn't going back to the dorms to fetch his things. He set to grooming the horses, starting with Duke. Bold would go last, as Edmund liked spending the most time with him.

[OOC: Gig info is here.]

Jen had her computer out behind the counter, and was going over the news of the past few days. She had to admit she hadn't seen that coming; it hadn't happened in her dimension.

But something big was brewing, and actually getting to be there to witness history never stopped being old somehow.

[OOC: Yeah, it's been a busy and draining week. *sigh*|

When Jolee walked into the bar tonight, he saw that Tino had used every clean glass in the place to build himself what he would later call a "crystal palace" behind the bar.

"You need friends," Jolee told him.

[OOC: I'm around. Possibly a tiny bit slow, but around!]
